Double jeopardy. He made a genuine attempt to get the ball; can't be sent off

Defence AWOL there for the through ball

Dutch did nothing for 17 minutes, then tore the defence apart perfectly.

It was a penalty for sure, but not much of a foul.

Terrible play by Doherty for the peno. Hasn’t played enough football recently for me

I thought he was stretching to intercept a cross-field pass and had little chance of really controlling the header tbh. I thought the big issue was elsewhere. Could well change my mind when I see it on telly later though!

Dutch cutting through centre-mid and centre-back too easily here. We've great corners and that's it

Mixing it up nicely, plenty of Jack Charlton type long ball. Kenny staying through to his word. All about a footballing philosophy (of sorts…)

I apologize to all Ogbene fans, he is so limited. Not a prem player. But doing a job for sure as interim measure

Albania beating Poland at halftime, which is bad for us and the playoff

We regrouped well after the equaliser (well, it took us about 10 minutes to regroup).

Dutch look like they're one more perfect run and pass away from a goal, but they are so easily rattled at the back. The touches we've taken when we HAD to shoot first time are criminal.

    Still, a good half overall.

It’s been an excellent all round performance. The Dutch are rattled. They had a couple of moments and a defensive lapse puts them back in it but we rallied really well after. Koeman’ll make some adjustments at h/t and it will be interesting to see if Kenny matches him.

I thought Browne, Knight and Collins have been excellent. Probably Browne the player of the half for me, certainly one of his best 45 minutes in green. Calm, taking the ball on the turn. McClean has done well too, goal aside. I think Doherty has been way more good than bad, only real error was for the goal and he’s been great getting forward. Idah just off the pace a bit and getting a bit bullied in the air and Ogbene has been wasteful with a couple of shots.

Great performance so far, should be ahead. Idah good, McClean good, Ogbene working hard down the right, Bazunu with a few good saves. One moment of stupidity let Dutch back in, but it was the defender playing him onside more at fault for me than Doherty.

Id worry they cant keep up this intensity, especially as the Dutch are looking so good in midfield. De Jong has roasted us a few times. But their backline and keeper aren't looking steady either.

If only Ferguson was on the field...
