Some people sit on their high horse slagging off City for having to rent Turners Cross off the MFA. They foolishly believe that their club owns the ground they play in. There are very few clubs who actually own their ground. Rovers on the other hand, can't even rent a ground.

Yes and no. The wording of the original quote was

so he didn't actually mention owning a ground. However, every club has a ground to call home, whether they rent it from the Munster FA or another club so the arguments are pretty much redundant.

In my time following Rovers I've been to the x, bishopstown and musgrave park for league games.

We may have had to rent a number of grounds over the past 16 years but we are still called Shamrock Rovers.
You can all have a nice comfy seat in our new stadium in Tallaght and we won't even have to pay any rent.
