Brace for Zak Gilsenan against Derby today. Brings his total for the season to eleven: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...urn-rovers-u21
Jamie Mullins was also on the scoresheet for Blackburn against Stoke: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...1-v-albion-u21
Brighton, Bruges and (of course) Celtic are reported to be trying to sign Patrick Casey. Brighton would seem the option, though it would put him straight up against Mark O'Mahony who is a similar age to Casey.
Seems not to be that many Irish players playing for PL2 clubs right now but those that are had a pretty big impact today:
Joe O'Brien-Whitmarsh and Luke Pearce both hit the target as Southampton beat Crystal Palace 4-0. Jake Grante was in The Eagles' line-up: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...tal-palace-u21
Good night for Dara McGuinness with a goal and an assist in Stoke's 2-1 win at Derby: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...stoke-city-u21
Mark O'Mahony scored for Brighton, however they lost 4-1 to West Ham. Jamie Mullins lined out for Brighton, while Sean Moore came on as a sub for the Hammers: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...ham-united-u21
Last weekend Zak Gilsenan opened the scoring as Blackburn thrashed Forest 5-1. Connor O'Riordan also played: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...urn-rovers-u21
JAmie Mullins was on target for The Seagulls against West Brom, as they won 2-1:https://www.premierleague.com/match/...ich-albion-u21
O'Brien-Whitmarsh also scored for Southampton against Stoke - he has made a good start since his January move. He was joined in the Saints' line-up by Luke Pearce while Dara McGuinness and Darius Lipsiuc played for the Potters: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...stoke-city-u21
Cathal Heffernan scored Newcastle's second in a 3-2 win against Sunderland in the PL2

Zak Gilsenan got the only goal of the game for Blackburn against Liverpool, his sixteenth of the season in all comps - Rory Finneran was credited with an assist: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...-liverpool-u21
Sean Moore, who's still 18, and Niall McAndrew, who's only 16, scored for West ham and Derby respectively in their tie: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...21-v-derby-u21
Luke Pearce kept his recent run of goals going, with his fifth in six games against Norwich: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...outhampton-u21
John Clarke scored a late equaliser for Reading against Spurs after coming on as an 84th minute sub: https://www.premierleague.com/match/...-v-reading-u21

Trent Kone Doherty scored the opener at Old Trafford in Liverpool’s win over United. Think the commentator said it was his 13th of the season, which isn’t a bad total from the wing.
There was also one time where he showed absolutely incredible pace, dribbling past players into space, it only ended up a corner but flashes of excellence.
He’s not far off being ready for a call up to the Ireland u21s if he’s not there already
He has done so well in his 2 seasons at Liverpool even though he missed half of last season with injury. Love how Liverpool have developed him more as a central player rather than purely a wide player. Carvalho, Clark, Doak koumas and kaide gordan are ahead of him as young backup wide attackers for Liverpool so difficult to see how he progresses next season unless most of the above move out on loan.
Yet another goal for Luke Pearce, in Southampton's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest. His record was kind of spotty up to now, but now he's on six in seven games. Anyone know if we should be getting excited about this lad? https://www.premierleague.com/match/...ttm-forest-u21
