Just back now after dropping you home!! I have to second what you said about the Derry fans. To see two sets of fans applauding each other for 10 minutes after the game was something special.Originally Posted by redgav

lads - just back from the game - really enjoyed meself and only the result dissapointed
Have to say tho , that 10 min after the game ended when both sets of us sang along together and applauded each other was very moving - Think both sets of fans tonite showed how special we really are and are a credit to our clubs
I always had a soft spot for derry and tonite has just re-inforced that ...wonder if any journo's bothered to notice two sets of fans behaving in that manner

and they all lived happily ever after,The End
The atmosphere came across well on the TV too, a good advert for the league.
Yeah and you'll be happy to hear that the lowest common denominator was Shels. We were singing your praises throughout the game.Originally Posted by Anto McC

Love in's.
Another farcical thing unique to the EL
Yeah because a pitched terrace battle involving the 200 odd cork fans and the derry fans are exactly what our league needs? Idiot!
"The Derry fans were fantastic in both matches. They sang their hearts out all the time and created an even better atmosphere than the Cup Final. They were brilliant. - David Graham, Gretna striker
So i take it we(shels fans) will be welcomed in the Brandywell in a few weeks with a rendition of "The town i love so well" and we'll join in and when thats finished we'll both sing "Dublin in the rare oul times" togetherOriginally Posted by Speranza
