Sitting pretty!!!
Have to say it was my first time in the Brandywell ..... and what a visit. I second everything said about the two sets of fans ..... one of the better memories that i'll have have the eL without doubt. If football was like that all the time, we wouldn't have a problem with the league. Definitely encouraged to visit the Brandy again after that.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Great night in Derry had by all. Definitely going to the top of the eL overnighter list. The mutual respect between both sets of fans was great to see.
Only downside was kinda getting lost on Belfast-Dublin road - signs for Dublin just disappeared. No sign to say when to turnoff the motorway![]()
Think we should have taken the Hillsborough roadOriginally Posted by pete

As I say, we're just young & a bit nieve.
yeah well done dcfcsteve, now go back to abusing your players, or is 3 pts off the lead not good enough any more??Originally Posted by dcfcsteve

Jeez Bohsfan - is that the best retort you can come up with...?Originally Posted by BohsFans

Anyways - it's a bit difficult to abuse your players when you're based in London (as it says in all my postings. Again - please try and keep up BohsFan...)
Shouldn't you be out gardening somewhere with a spray can, or creating 'more X marks the spot' for Glen Crowe to score from....?![]()

Derry people always find away, never stop moaning about their team - i feel sorry for Kenny, an ordinary decent dub just trying to win them the league - ungrateful gitsOriginally Posted by dcfcsteve

You might get a reaction out of Shels fans that easily.....

i think both sets of fans were united in the hatred of the Evil brittish City of Dublin![]()
Both sets of fans were in good voice right through the game, at the end the City fans stayed on singing and a lot of the Derry fans came by, few handshakes and a bit of applause exchanged. A quick 20 second redition of 'we fcuking hate Shelbourne' and that was it.
I think Derry and City have a mutual respect that's based on knowing that if you do make the round trip, the opposition can appreciate that journey. In my experience, it's not something that Dublin teams (some of whom can't drag a couple of hundred fans across a river, or to their own stadium for an 'away' game) really have a grasp on IMO.
We mingled after the game, were able to have a pint without worrying that a bunch of casuals with hoods up and scarves over their faces were waiting to have a go off us. Definitely more enjoyable than the away trip in Pat's, where I felt I had to take colours off before heading into McDowells for a pint.
A thoroughly enjoyable trip and stay. Hating opponents takes too much energy, it's easier just to get drunk with them.
Great to see the Brandywell hopping too, RTE got to visit two full stadiums in a week, great atmosphere in both, good advertisement for the league on the whole.
Cork City: Making 'Dream Team' seem realistic since 2007.
not a problem for any of the other cark fans who were in with full colours, horses for courses i supposeOriginally Posted by tiktok
