To be honest, I think the universal condemnation of it is possibly a better response than just deleting it and pretending it didn't happen
Won't be shedding any tears if it is just binned obviously
https://kesslereffect.bandcamp.com/album/kepler - New music. It's not that bad.
Just to make it clear, it is beyond disgraceful to link paedophilia with the rainbow flag. It is simply a made-up excuse to allow the OP to try to validate his own anger and lonileness, which rethoric has no basis in reality and has been used for centuries to be prejudice against gay people
Like, its not even a one off comment - its a full rant. This lad needs professional help. God help his family, or if they have disowned him, whoever has to listen to him on a daily basis.
A helpful post from Johnnie, and then…

For your information. The man who invented the rainbow flag wrote a piece in a magazine in the 1970's in favour of Pedophilia. Pedophilia is also a psychiatric disorder. I am happy to walk the rocky road, and your responses show how ill informed you are. I stand by what I say. If you want to support the cult of the sexually insane it shows you no longer care about the children of Ireland, especially those engaged in sport.
By the way I am from the six counties and my folks refer to the Union flag as the 'Butcher's Apron'. Don't ask why I like the sport of the foreigner, I just do. Others like cricket, so go figure.
Somebody come and pick up their granda please
roddy collins you're a flanker you're a flanker!
I've suspended Scrufil until such time as Dahamsta or one of this subforum's mods can review.
You can't spell failure without FAI
Why don't you go the whole hog and join the Free Presbyterians - with some of your views, I'd say they could find a space for you somewhere!
More generally, I'm not sure Scrufil should be banned. I always remember when Nick Griffin, leader of the BNP, was invited to appear on the BBC's Question Time programme. Thousands of people said it shouldn't be allowed, but when he did get on and exposed his true self to the nation, overnight it killed his political career stone dead.
Besides, I liked a lot of the replies Scrued Up generated, very amusing.![]()
I would strongly disagree - all this would mean would be to encourage ''debating'' with the crazy person, and just derail any productive conversations. The person above is not a serious person, and they will just keep spewing and spewing until normal people will just leave the space and all that is left is people who love arguments and hating other people.
None of us of the time and energy to debunk or deal with these types of people as they have. These people thrive on reactions and will keep escalating till they get one. Lets not normalise them at all here.
If there was any evidence that his ranting was influencing posters on here - at least any who didn't already sympathise anyhow - then I'd tend to agree. But I personally am encouraged by the unanimously unfavourable response he engenders, which imo is a better rebuttal of his vile opinions than censorship. If nothing else, it prevents him from claiming "martyrdom" status amongst his fellow Anti-Woke Warriors.
All that said, I would certainly shed no tears if he is banned, so if that's the outcome, then fair enough.
Oh wow. Only seeing this now.
It was definitely nice to see a pretty unanimous rejection of the bile he was spewing but it's also good to see forum members immediately find something to disagree on in the discussion of the response. Nice work everyone.
Our response doesn’t have to be binary - we can do both. Let’s ban him AND mock him. It’s win win!
So some sort of virtual "stocks" where someone isn't banned until suitably ridiculed? 48 hours for people to pile on and then the boot sounds reasonable. It's not as enjoyable if he can't actually read the responses and it's only for our enjoyment because a mind like that has too many moats. Pointless talking to them.
The response has been spot on. Nobody as engaged with the vile content in an attempt of some sort of rebuttal, starving the poster of the attention he craves, yet very clearly shows total contempt for his BS. To remove the post would remove the context of subsequent comments and the manner in which a community, in entirety, has dealt with this themselves without need for moderation. It would be a different story if replies had plumbed the depths in response. I think its good for people to see this sort of positive reaction rather than a sweep under the carpet.
...So yeah what Ealing said!

My twopence worth is that he should be banned ( lifetime ban as his sort don’t ever in my experience change) also I don’t want to ever again read such vile , hate filled stupidity again …. Sometimes the right thing is to act immediately in a straight forward manner and no to over analyse… people like that aren’t worth the time
Maybe we should have a poll....
