Gotta say, much and all as I think the rainbow flag is way overused these days, and the stories coming out of England about how puberty blockers are given around willy nilly because supposedly sensible adults think a boy can be a girl are really concerning, that's a really bizarre and bilious rant of a post.

The rainbow flag / pride activists remond me of the way the poppy is compulsory on the UK for fear of being cancelled by the media who lap it up. Way overused but the problem with the "christian" people like our friend above is that they are the other side of the same coin. The majority of people just shrug and move on.

I cant disagree with with your's or stu's comments - I just dislike the extremes of as you say 2 sides of the same coin.

As an aside, being England based these days and in years past, I dont find much of the poppy 'culture' tbh, I dont wear it and I think the whole McClean stuff has more to do with being an excuse for fans to target an opposition player and the Daily Mailers probably. Irish media whip things up too each November. I find its as much a perception than anything and if everyone bought poppy badges as they would be the wealthest voluntary organisation going. I deal with British Legion people daily, volunteers as patient chaperones and was never pulled up on not wearing a poppy.

Its also been a while since I digressed from a thread subject....
