Regional 3 grattan aet
Hard luck to Gratten, great representation to the AUL , up 2-0 though will be looked at as a missed opportunity but conditions definitely played a factor.

Grangevale are on the road since 8 this morning. They have all that expense now to pay out again.I heard they have to travel up again. Something isn’t right there ffs. Bang out of order. Grattan can play though as they are only going to limerick and the red weather warning doesn’t kick in till 5. Fair play to Anthony Caughlan for letting them use the company plane.
Funny man Goal.
Problem being the Grangevale game was called off by the FAI an not the Galway crowd but ya wouldn't know that because your not that connected( other wise ya wouldn't of posted it) ?
The game In Limerick was just a game , Regional for me were better in the 2nd half an extra time but in the first half Grattan destroyed them an should of been 4 up but went in 1.2 , the Regional goal bang on 45 changed the game.
Grattan burst a gut throughout but Regional did enough an were gracious In winning , top club an best of luck ?
You took me up wrong there I’d say I felt it was wrong for the game to go ahead and my point was if the fai called Grangevale’s game off why did they allow Grattan game to be played. Easy Tiger
Only way any games go ahead this weekend would be on astros otherwise not a hope pitches are like bogs now over the rain
And just like that no football again this weekend I’d imagine even if fry tomorrow damage done now ??
Please god Joe
Lads I’ve been reading these threads for years and never joined. Our league is a shambles.
Harsh ref, pitches are fine to play on, most teams just don’t want to play games. I bet 95% of CBL games will go ahead.
It’s a sad day for the AUL when well established teams are sick of it and are in the process of joining the shipping league! Our club included! And I’m all for it!!
I’ve won everything there is to win in the AUL, and would be well known in Cork soccer circles, and I’m sad it’ll come to this. But they haven’t changed with the times!
Games go ahead! The standard is quite good now! And the league is properly run. Apart from a couple of teams in our top division - the CBL is superior now! The recent cup finals with commentary and live steams is only something we can dream of.
Agree whit you Star be interesting to see how many games do go ahead I personally can’t see many being played think teams have enough of not enough referees and not playing every week think players getting ****ed off.
Agreed , most teams train twice a week now and have a game called off at the weekend. Very frustrating for the players. Stops all momentum a team may be gaining.
As already said, pitches should be fine this weekend, its just too easy for a team to say the pitch is unplayable if they are missing a few. Was the rule that if a team said their pitch was unplayable, the other team could play it at their home venue ever implemented? Even introducing this would stop some bit of it as they would not take the chance of having to travel and losing home advantage
Hopefully some games go ahead anyway
I’d be of the opinion Sunday games have a decent chance of games going ahead.
Tomorrow might be too soon after all yesterdays rain it is January after all.
When we saw games being called off two weeks ago and the majority of games going ahead all over the county you would wonder the reasons that these games get called off.
The change if venue to away side has not been implemented dispite guarantee given.
AULlegend, I agree. I've also heard a lot of clubs will not be returning in the new season.
Know few xx weeks back coachford called game and Grattan pitch was playable and Aul still called it off
It’s a shame lads. It really is. The CBL is now a better league than the AUL! How has this happened!
