Sloppy game in dalymount and it played into bohs hands. Best I've seen them play this season and probably the most entertaining for the neutral but we were poor. Only 3 or 4 players played to the right level.

Should still have put it to bed at 2-0 after a much more controlled start to the second half but got a bit cocky and didn't kill it off despite having chances to do so. Bohs had the better chances overall though and Afolabi was dangerous. Both in a football sense and with his elbows.

Bohs probably should have been down to 10 men first half really. Buckley in particular with a nasty and completely obvious elbow to the back of Finn's head.

We move on. Chance to go 7 clear on Monday but we will have to be much, much better.

That was genuinely hilarious at the end, Duff losing the rag and giving the finger and the ‘shooting up’ gesture to the pats fans. I wonder just exactly who is in whose head I see on LOI Connect that he was sent off after full time too.

On the match itself, absolute dross as all the Pats Shels games have been this season. Duff’s game plan every time he comes to Inchicore is to try and kill the game, kick lumps out of the opposition, throw yourself on the ground at the slightest touch, all the darkarts stuff pretty much, which they’re quite good at. Trying to score goals on the other hand, not so much. No shots on target from shels just like the game earlier in the season. For what’s it’s worth pats were poor in the first half and struggled playing into a strong enough wind, shels had a decent amount of pressure but no real chances and pats should been a goal or 2 up at half time hitting the post and 2 goal line clearances keeping them out. Second half was an improvement from pats playing with the wind although not by much. Shels uselessness in attack was really shown up second half and the free kick from Mulraney was just the piece of magic that was needed to win a game of absolute anti-football

    Ugh.

We could have won that game and ended up losing. Sometimes football is infuriating.

Equaliser was a result of Towell stupidly giving the ball away in midfield- after that Pohls had one decent save to make as both sides went for it , during that period we had a number of half chances- last 7 mins we had Bohs pinned back and had 3/4 corners as we finished on the front foot and pushed for a winner.

Finally we’ll done Neil Doyle ; the only decent ref in the league
We all know that possion counts for FA. It's chances and chances taken that count and Bohs look more like scoring in the first half. You went 2 up and deservedly so. Re the lucky deflection, if lopes isn't good enough to clear it, he shouldn't be playing. Bohs had the best chance to win it and a fine save it was. But Fcku me we gave you 3 corners in added time and you did nothing...... Absolutely nothing. So it hardly makes you the better team when a lesser team came back from 2 down to get a draw and could have won't it. Wise up and don't eat youself

I'd think Dundalk possibly only deserved a draw tonight, early part 2nd half Drogs could have gone 2 or 3-0 up, but they didn't.

Enter the Hoban, 2 goals in 3 mins, breaks and then +1 all time DFC goal scoring record, some achievement.

Maybe a snatch and grab, but that said O'Kane had 2 chances very late on to make it 3-1, but bank these 3 points all day long.

2 goals from lucky deflections for Bohs but we move on, seems a long time since bohs were going 13 points clear at the top

That was probably the end of our season tonight,7 points outside the playoffs with Waterford away next week, hopefully we can see an impact from the new signings and they can help along a couple of promising youngsters.....

How many points have Dundalk gained against ten men this season? (Taking this as two points as it was 1-1 when Drogheda had a men sent off)

It seems a lot I think? Also Cork and Drogheda earlier in the season.

In other news, Sligo are in trouble. But then anyone losing to us really isn't great. We have at least passed out that awful Galway team and have matched that awful Kilkenny team. Can we catch that awful UCD side from 85/86 now before the season's end?

Gained? We struggled to draw 1-1 v Shels away against 10 men for 3/4 game and missed a pen, also went 0-2 v Rovers away when they were reduced to 10.

Cork C at home and tonight, yes two examples losing, down to 10 (in Cork C case 9) and won both games 2-1, but we have also struggled v 10 men.

Very scrappy game, Dundalk fierce poor FH but actually could have gone in level or even ahead with big chances for Kelly and Hoban. Drogs should have killed game start of second half but didn't and then give away two dreadful goals. Drappers last game it appears, they could struggle without him. Dundalk will have to improve even to beat Brunos

Fair point. Maybe the real question is how many times have Dundalk had an opposition player sent off as it seems a lot. And going off soccerway, it seems to be seven times. Which is a heck of a lot half-way through a season!

Seems to be a really bad slide ok for Sligo, a month ago (or less) Dan McD on LOI Central saying something like 'yes a dip in form but don't rule them out yet of euro spots' , now they are 15 points off the pace and only 2 away from play off.

10 team div has little room when you are on a bad spell. Under possibly worst DFC 'manager' of all time Jim Magilton, we were 2nd and 3rd last for weeks in 2021, eventually finished ok in 6th under Perth second time, but it was only going one way with JM.

Lost 2-1 to us against 10 also.

We weren't particularly good and nor was the match but still 3 points is 3 points. Mulraneys free kick is a cracker. Duff's petulance at the end was hilarious.

The life has been absolutely sucked out of the Brandywell this season. As has the creativity been coached out of the players.

Poor performance despite getting the win. Cork had a few cracking chances to score thankfully they weren't clinical enough.

We managed to nick a goal out of nothing just before Half time and then in typical Derry fashion this season we back off and allow teams to pressure us at the death instead of killing the game off.

Young boy McGinty managed to get his first goal on his debut after coming off the bench very late on from a great bit of work from Ben Doherty.

Ronan Boyce probably should have seen red for pushing honohan I think it was in the face from a corner but the ref only managed to see it as a yellow.

Not looking forward to Rover away Monday. They could and should absolutely batter us if they turn up.

Superb Treaty goal to go 1-0 up away to Athlone, finished 2-0.

Hopefully Rovers wise up on Monday and show some ruthlessnes against derry. Had a glorious chance to go 3 nil up and then got sloppy. Bohs have some good young players coming through, clarke injected done enthusiasm into their attack when he came on. Bohs back 5 needs improving if they want to challenge imo.
Big game on Monday for Rovers, in which they could and should put down a marker for the rest of the season.

You's have nothing to worry about against us on Monday. We were dire last night once again.
Our injury list is fairly mounting up with Connelly, Duffy,Fats, Dummigan, Patching and Whelan all out.

Would love to know which of the rovers ultras thought a banner saying” that’s right you die” was a good shout on a night Ronnie Nolan and Christy Dignam were getting a minutes silence, with family members present too?? D’oh!!
