    Question The Second Half

So ... how do people think we'll fair out in the second half against Djurgarden ?

Georgie will hopefully be playing that night and that might change things in our favour .... but it will definitely be a hard task.

    What do people think ??

    1. I think they will struggle to beat our defence at the moment, by any standards our defence is exceptional at the moment.

    2. We are probabbly the best counter attacking team in the country, how many goals did we score this season that the move started in our own penelty area. Weather this will be good enough against better opposition i dont know but imo i think it will.

    3. The one worry i have is if they score first, i think we could be in trouble, we have seen how easy it is for el teams to close up shop at turners cross imo djurgardens with 10 behind the ball would be difficult to score against.

    any way 0-0 happy days.

They're the ones who need to score. I don't think we should sit back, we're not good at doing that, but we should be looking to take possession and be patient with it, wait for a chance and then hit them. If they come at us, we'll get them on the break. Advantage us. It'll be very tough, but I think we'll do it. Probably 0-0 or 1-0.

Well judging from the reports that we've heard back, they are not the force that we once thought they might be, there’s no doubt the lads will be up for it. I reckon if things are not going our way at first, then making substitutions to counteract it will be crucial ... just hope Rico is on the ball early on.

Swedes by their nature are cocky & arrogant so will continue to underestimate us.

If we play like did against Ekranas we will lose.

I can't see it being scoreless & could be 1-1 & extra time...

I honestly don't think we will win & will in hope rather than expectation.

If we go out and play like we did against ekranas we will lose.

No point playing for a draw, we've already shown we can match them. They're strong on the wings, full backs like getting forward, hopefully on a ground as tight as turners cross they'll be limited and we can catch them on the counter.

I think if we go for the win we can get it.

The comments by the players themselves suggest that they respect Djurgarden a lot, but see them as being beatable.
I fancy City to win 1 - nil. Georgie to start, and Roy back on the subs bench, Greg to hold his place because he has been so strong.
Djurgarden have not yet played against Georgie, so they will probably be cautious until they get the measure of them. I reckon Rico will play two up front after the poor home performance against Ekranas. He can't risk the 10 man defence of a 1-nil lead as described by kevincronin2000 above. Anyway, the way we are playing now, he will probably have faith in the team to take the game to Djurgarden and get a result.

I'm not so sure. Fridays result will obviousy have a bearing but regardless i believe Richarson will play 5 in midfield (George as attacking mid) and take a defensive approach to Thursdays game. I hope otherwise. I think he may even start Fridays match against Derry with this formation and drop either Fenn or Flynn. On form that would be Flynn. Its an interesting one but thats my opinion. I think the clean sheet in both matches will be Richardsons temptation. We will know soon enough. By the way Fair play boy fair play boy for consistently interesting posts.
