You're right. Just think those statements sometimes undersell them a bit.

The Cranberries were huge back in the day. They played Woodstock back in 94 I think which must have been one of the first times modern Woodstock was held. When I lived in Italy they always seemed to be doing a live set on Italian TV. Maybe they almost had a bigger profile abroad then at home, either way they had some great songs.

Not sure I'd agree with that. Always felt a lot of the lyrics were quite simplistic but not familar with all their songs.

But very untimely death. Certainly makes you stop and think.

    Jimmy Armfield RIP

I recall Jimmy commentating on one of our games - he kept referring to us as "we" - endearing in the best sense.

Never got in to the show which is strange because whenever I channel surfed on to the programme, I'd often watch it and found it entertaining.

Ken Dodd, aged 90, two days after getting married. Sounds like a Ken Dodd joke.

His tour calendar was booked up to July of this year.

I think when you get in to the nervous 90s, I am amazed he booked that far ahead. His statement on the front page is a bit ironic really.
