He did a lot of things. He was Admiral Greer in several of the Jack Ryan movies, including Hunt for Red October. He was a pretty chilling villain in Conan the Barbarian. He voiced Mufasa in The Lion King. His first role was a small one in Dr Strangelove!

I saw him in Much Ado About Nothing in the Old Vic about 11 years ago. That voice... just something out of this world.
Hello, hello? What's going on? What's all this shouting, we'll have no trouble here!

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Bit of unwanted side Seanie. Went in off.

God rest him, superb broadcaster. Still a gap where he used to be when watching snooker I think, nobody has filled those shoes yet.

His break broke down just short of the century. Those still get a nice round of appreciative applause though

I remember my sister went to see him in Cork around 1980 ( both of these are from my own hazy memory ) ~ ~ Unfortunately, the performance was from somebody that was either high on drugs / alcohol ~ ~ As you say he seemed to come through that ( hopefully anyway )
