Could maybe change your user name to Fourth Horseman? Same end result, but we'd get more warning.

Roger Moore, Or Loger Moore in Lost In Translation.
Cochise by Audioslave is a great song. It's mad that it took Chris Cornell dying for me to listen to it again.
Black Hole Sun some music video too.

Is it me or does anybody else think that athletes are dying younger at a faster rate than previously? Are bodies being pushed beyond tolerable limits? There've been too many of these sad, untimely deaths in recent years.

Possibly more news exposure is making you hear about more of these stories. I presume recreational drugs can't be a factor? Presume you'd fail a drugs test if so, though could see it with the amount of money being earned.
But it does feel that the issue is more common alright.
TBH, I was thinking more along the lines of supplements, steroid injections and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen which can increase the risk of heart attack. When you hear managers telling players to play through the pain barrier you have to wonder if medical staff are over-using painkillers, or if players are doing it themselves and saying nothing to the club. Long-term use within safe daily limits can still be dangerous, but nothing untoward would show up in a tox screen or autopsy. Like, in 30 years top players have gone from playing maybe 50 games a season to over 60 at higher intensity and with less recovery time. There has to be a limit to the level of punishment the body can take. Genuinely curious, and saddened that it's affecting so many young athletes.

Yeah, meant to put that in alright. You'd have thought we were beyond that sort of Flo-Jo stuff, but perhaps not...
Drug testing in football is little short of pathetic, and there is no real will there to change. A super recent example. When Tyler Hamilton was getting help from Dr Fuentes and was worried, he was assured that he was doing nothing compared to the footballers. I have little doubt that there is lots of dodgy stuff going on at the top level. With the money involved, and the lack of any real deterrent, why wouldn't there be?

Poor Glenne Headley. Just started up a new show on Hulu with Ed Begley Jr from St. Elsewhere. I thought she was a great actress. Killed it in Mr.Holland's Opus, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and on ER. Seemed like a really nice person too.
Interesting piece on the Beeb that relates to this at least in part.
