Have to say I'm gutted to hear the news of his passing - the world will be a much poorer place for it.

Absolutely shocked. Didn't hear until I read this. Great comic timing, and delicious contempt for the panellists, the audience, and the listeners. He will be missed if they continue.
That question was less stupid, though you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Help me, Arthur Murphy, you're my only hope!

Apparently, Rob Brydon was doing it for the live show that was to be recorded in Humph's absense. I like Brydon, but I don't know. If he were to do it, it would have to be completely on his terms, and different to Humph, as none could (or should) attempt to re-create the Humph approach.

Club Brugge and Belgian international striker Francois Sterchele died on Wednesday night/Thursday morning when he wrapped his Porsche around a tree at 3am. He was top scorer in Div 1 season before last and was on his way home from a night out in Antwerp to his apartment in Knokke which he rented from Enzo Scifo (as you do). At 26 he was not going to be the saviour but Belge footie, which hit such heights in the70s/80s was glad of anyone who could score goals.

It's Sterchele. As far as I know, he wasn't drunk but was travelling at some ridiculous speed for no good reason.

Is this a reference to the game Mornington Cresecent. How do they play it?
I always thought it was a bit of a cheat as the one player always appeared to win. That small chap with the nasal accent, can't remember his name. Anyway, Barry Crier (sp.) was never allowed win anyhow.

Was Mornington Crescent tube station out of use for years?

    THE FORMAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Former Celtic manager and player Tommy Burns has died from skin cancer, the club has announced. He was 51.

The SPL side's first-team coach originally contracted skin cancer in 2006. Although he received treatment, the disease returned in March.

Former Scotland international Burns, who spent 15 years as a player at Parkhead and also managed the club for three seasons, had been undergoing treatment in both Glasgow and France in recent weeks.

A statement from Celtic on their official website said: "It is with great sadness that Celtic Football Club confirmed this morning that Tommy Burns has passed away. "Tommy, a true Celtic legend and wonderful man will be sadly missed by us all.
"Clearly, our thoughts are very much with Tommy's wife Rosemary and his family at this extremely difficult time."

Burns joined Celtic as a teenager in 1973 and went on to play 352 league games for the club, scoring 52 goals, and winning eight Scotland caps. In 1989, he moved to Kilmarnock and was given his first job in management there three years later. He left to take the Celtic reins in 1994 but was sacked three years later.
A short spell as boss of Reading followed before Burns became Scotland number two in 2002 under Berti Vogts and later Walter Smith.
He returned to Celtic as first-team coach shortly before Martin O'Neill's arrival, a position he retained when Gordon Strachan became manager.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Rosemary, and four children.
