Well today same bloody thing. Listened to that Ronnie Drew cd that the Irish Indo gave away a few months ago, listened to two of the songs on it. Havent listened to R Drew in months. next thing the legend is dead. Jesus

I often used to see Ronnie in the last few years of his life in a pub in Greystones, many will know it, The Burnaby. He would come in a have a glass of red wine and sit quietly chating to friends. A sad loss coming so quickly after the death of his wife, as so often happens.

He wrote Great Gig In The Sky. Very apt. They played it on Today fm this morning just before 7am. Usually I'm stuck with the melody of some sh!te song in me head all day. I've been huming Gret Gig all morning (obviously not quite as high as the original version!).
