Scully duly starts, and Kevin Williams becomes the third player to captain the side. Tryp is restored to the starting line-up instead of Shane Guthrie.
Even if the result had been better on Friday, back-to-back Bank Holiday away fixtures for an amateur squad would have been a daunting prospect. It appears Callan Scully will make his full debut between the sticks after Wayne Guthrie's injury in Markets Field, and Dennehy will probably take the opportunity to rotate the squad ahead of Longford's visit at the weekend. For Ramblers, targetman Jack Doherty, who was central to their opening day victory at Mounthawk Park is a doubt for this afternoon, but perhaps surprisingly, their last victory came at the end of March against Bray. A repeat of the 2-0 round one result appears to be on the cards.

Interesting that a striker comes in for a defender. If they can target a clean sheet, a win might eventually come along. Second time that Trip is starting against Cobh. There must be some tactical reason for it.

Any hope of a clean sheet didn't last long. Since the good defensive display in Waterford, the wheels are coming off.
