With Limerick a comparatively short spin up the road by LoI standards, one would hope for a substantial travelling contingent in attendance at Markets Field on Friday. Treaty have shown an impressive upturn in form in recent weeks, consolidated with an excellent draw at Colman's Park on Friday, and they'll be hoping for further progress against Waterford in tonight's postponed game in hand. Rather bizarrely after ten games, it's still hard to analyse what level of performance Kerry should be consistently delivering, with the first half against Galway showing the potential within the squad, yet the second 45 minutes demonstrated both ever-present frailties and the difficulty in sustaining standards over a full game. The management will have targeted Treaty, Longford and Harps fixtures as matches where Kerry can seek that elusive opening win, yet simply securing a first point on the road may be a more realistic aim for Friday.
