Turners Cross Monday night, "welcome to hell"

This is the part of the season where we (the fans) start making a difference.

Let's turn The Cross into a cauldron. We can frighten and intimidate the life out of Fenlon (The Goblin), "Oily" Byrne, "Eddie Cogan" (the Goblin's assistant) and all the others associated with them.

The Cross in full voice is the BEST in the country and as we head into the final run in we should carry the lads on a wave of noise and support......!

Remember the nights (and days) against:
    - Nijmegen
    - Nantes
    - Rovers (2-0 down, 3-2 up)
    - Bohs (3-2, 2 goals in the last couple of minutes)
    - $hels (our 1-0 win in the Setanta Cup and Behan's belter)

    ..... and so many more!

    Roll on Monday.

Fenlon must be REALLY looking forward to sitting in the stand next to City supporters.
As for The Shed and The Corner boys and everyone else throughout the ground .........let's make it a night to remember and a night $hels will want to forget.

Are you really that confident of winning this match? Genuine question.

I think you'll find Radars question in the post above yours and Drums Red subsequent answer proves you wrong

Seriously though. Counting Crow, I don't know what you're on about. When we played yez down at the X, our fans outsung yez and silenced the infamous Shed. I wasn't at that match but that's what I've been told and cos it was someone that never bull****s that told me, I'm inclined to believe him.

Then when we played yez at the Carlisle, we definitely outsang yez and I was there to hear it. It was a case of sing when you're winning from the Cork fans cos yez barely made a squeak until it was 2-0.

Despite all this, I hope Cork win.

Thats fair enough. Many are wise after events but in fairness you have stood up and made a call. I cant see the European issue affecting City that much. Everyone here wants the league more including the players i think. The good result in Sweden will certainly boost their confidence. My worry about Shels and you would know more about this than i would is the defence. The goals against column must be a worry. City have scored most goals in the league this season. I think if City play like they can they will score a couple. Tough match though and i think its hard to call.

Much as I'd love to beat Shels on Monday night, I'd be perfectly happy with a draw if it meant that we get a result against Derry. We've bigger fish to fry than a club like Shels thats falling apart at the seams and cracking up.

I'd say beat Shels infront of the camera's and atleast a draw against Derry if not a win. I really looking forward to Monday's game. Should be a cracker and a near full house.

I'd say you enjoyed writing that Anto McC.

It's not often you, and your like, get a chance to put a "comma and 3 zero's" (or any zero's for that matter) in a sentence about crowds / attendance etc?

"What's it like to see a crowd?
What's it like to see a crowd?"

You can call me Anto Look in the attandances thread we get roughly the same crowds as the big pub and most other EL sides and a lot better than some, now obviously we'll never rival the near 50,000 that Cork get in the x every week as well as the other 20,000 watching on the big screens in the city centre but bad Shels attendances are a massive hyped myth something that you and the other City fans should know all about
