Just had an idea. What with all the polish coming over here, why cant irish clubs make some moves on the players there football is well ahead of EL in the UEFA Country Ranking. So why not start using the higher wages here to move some in. we need to start looking out side of the uk for players. Im sure the irish lads can learn soem skills off them too.

We recently signed a Romanian and considering how many Romanians live in Dublin you might expect some to come out here to see him. But I haven't noticed an increase in home fans recently...

I agree with this imaginative and innovative policy of tapping into new talent coming in.
In fact, we have already implemented it, as we've been using culchies for a few years now. Some of them have worked out quite well!

except for them c awkies, they have been a disaster. they never assimilate into our culture and dont even bother to try and learn the language.

all they do is go on about how that sludge murphys is better than guiness, lennox's chips are better than burdocks and other assorted nonsense.

    can we deport them?

We love our Corkie! He's never mentioned Murphys or any of that nonsense, though he did take a while to acclimatise! We were all shouting 'Shoot!' and it seems he thought we were saying '****e!', which of course we would never do.

From what I've seen he looks fairly handy as well. I think it's worth trying to get in a few players like that from Central Europe, but a big factor in City's success in getting crowds out the last few years is that it is almost totally a local-based team. It would be interesting to see if signing a Pole brought out some of the large numbers of Poles working here now... but Nwanko didn't seem to bring out too many Nigerians
    Mick D. for Ireland!

I think the clubs should try focusing on putting in structers to keep the good youth players in stead of going looking for polish league failures

It's a suburb! And part of the town crosses the border into Dublin county. That's beside the point.

Would clubs not be better off investing in their underage set up and start producing good young local players instead of going to ****ing Poland
