    Treaty (H)

It's fair to say that set-piece drills will be top of the training agenda this week, as Kerry aim to notch up their first point(s) of the season at the third attempt. The current injury list largely affects defensive players, though there remain a number of options to freshen up that area, and both Nathan Gleeson and Ronan Teahan will be pushing for starting roles, particularly when the former has twice been effective after his introductions. Treaty themselves are the only side in either division to be both scoreless and pointless this season, so Kerry should be capable of securing at least a draw this Friday.

Bray scored a winner against the run of play in Limerick. Away to Galway was a tough game for Treaty to try and bounce back from their opening day defeat. Friday will be tough.
Defending set pieces has to be top of the agenda alright. Avoiding the concession of sloppy goals will keep us in the game without having a mountain to climb.
Cobh with the two goal cushion and Bray when they restored their two goal cushion were comfortable. Another team in the mood can cause damage.

Billy Dennehy has stated in his usual Monday briefing that Matt Keane may have broken his nose, which makes him a doubt for Friday.

Last week we got our first goal, this week would be a great week to score some goals at Home in front of a bumper crow while getting a point/s on the board.

With Matt Keane a doubt, I could see Graham O Reiley step in as he missed the last game. Wonder what changes will be made elsewhere?

Billy seems to like the idea of a big target-man, which is why Vrljicak has started both games, but it might be more effective to concentrate on the midfield, and then spring him from the bench if the occasion demands it.

Both of our games have been one / nil losses against the divisions better resourced sides. Both sides need a win but we are generally well drilled, coached & organised, set up to stay in games against the better sides & nicking the odd win and more often a draw by doing so, while targeting games like this for our wins. You seem to be leaky also & I would describe Treaty as being streetwise in the division without having real quality either.

Nobody wants to be three games in & pointless so maybe a draw here, I think we might edge it purely through experience.

I guess this is geographically the closest game for both clubs ? Here's to Ireland newest derby game

I've watched Limerick/Treaty in Jackman Park, Thomond Park and Markets Field down through the years. Interesting now to welcome Treaty as opponents!
A fair summary to be fair. Treaty are streetwise and our guys are not. Mounthawk Park to Markets Field is 100km. To Cobh is 135km. With the setup of both Kerry and Treaty, it can very well become a derby and a strong rivalry in pursuit of playoff places in the years to come.

There will definitely be at least one change to the Kerry starting line-up, as Tripimir Vrljcak is out through an ankle injury. Also unspecified concerns about Graham O'Reilly, which previously ruled him out of the Bray game, while Matt Keane may still be in contention to play tonight.

Just the one change, ultimately, as Nathan Gleeson starts.

Gleeson in for Trip. 8 players starting for the third time. Vote of confidence from Billy. Hopefully they can repay his confidence in them.

Impressive display. Created good chances after going a man down. The stupid second yellow card by Quaid was the most frustrating part of the evening. Great tackle by Spillane to save a certain goal. Solid defence on set pieces. A few more games at this level should have the group well up to speed.
Keane's best game so far. He was really up for it. Gaxha, McGrath and Kennedy played well. Gaxha is such a threat any time he gets on the ball. Wayne commanded the box well again. First game, goal and now a point. Hopefully the first win is soon to follow.

Delighted Kerry got off the mark. Great that it was at home and to see it out with 10 men.

Must be a decent chance of getting another sell out for the third home game?

Absolutely - the fans recognise the progress that is being made over each game, so hard to see why they wouldn't turn out in force again on the 24th. Unlikely any points will be picked up in Galway, but then most clubs will also struggle there, so Wexford should be a more even test.

You would imagine so. Especially when last night sold out over a week in advance. Also a positive display and result.

Good to see both Gaxha and Williams getting due recognition for their performances:
