Shels ultras are usually behind the goal for womens games. It's not segregated so you can go wherever.

Believe Longford v Harps attendance was 608. Given how cold it was and the rugby, Paddy's weekend, people broke after Cheltenham etc that's not bad. Won't be 100 at our games soon the way we are playing

Fair play to them for going. Looked a decent crowd in main stand at it

Can't see dundalk ever attracting crowds for a women's team (I may be proven wrong)

604 given on FAI connect. Longford is a hard place to read a crowd but a few of us who'd have been down in Longford a good few times all said it was one of the lowest crowds we'd seen there. Didn't feel like more than 400 but that main stand is a bit deceptive too.

I have to say I was really impressed by the set up at Cobh and biggest crowd I’ve ever seen there.

They even had a group of young lads singing too.

Obviously they’ve had a good start to the season but it would be great if they could average 1k for the season.
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"

While watching the game I was actually thinking that if the backers decide they can’t afford it anymore would Longford be able to attract new investment or could they drop out of the league?

Given the low population of the whole catchment area and how the ground is so far from the town the club have really punched above their weight.

Looks like Athlone will be Kerry's first game that doesn't sell out - the stand is already full up, but the terraces are noticeably slower to go than they were for the opening encounters.

Kerry v Treaty was a very enjoyable game. The Athlone tickets should have gone on sale the week after. The next home game tickets should always go on sale at the start of the next week.

Looking forward to the trip to Kerry in three weeks time. Should be a decent crowd of Harps fans down, lot of people talking about going down and staying overnight for the first game between the sides.

How close to 1 million combined attendance do people think we'll get? I reckon it will be close but might fall just short. If we continue at the same rate we're set for ~918k.

Attendances tend to dip in the summer but at the same time there is going to be another stand put into Tallaght in August which you'd hope would help balance that out.

If there's a Dublin derby in the cup final I reckon it'll be as good as a sell out. Add in the other cup games and it'll be very close.

Is the new stand in Tallaght going to be used for big away crowds when it’s open or are they just keeping them where they are now?

Stadium capacities around the country will probably hinder it.

I would hope the new stand would be used for big away crowds , i think it would be much better for atmosphere to have all the away fans behind the goal

I'm open to being corrected but I don't believe the intention is to house away fans in the North stand when it opens, but instead will leave them where they are currently, and the North stand would only initially open up as overflow for the bigger games. It's construction is as much to do with future Ireland underage/women's games held there as any need for increased Rovers/LOI European games.

It would probably be more disappointing to see a closed off stand. Even a small scattering of fans through it would look much better than a big empty stand.

I'd have said 500 or so, was happy enough with crowd given the weekend it was and how crap we've been so far

Obviously there is a cost associated with opening any additional stands for a game. So unless Rovers sell Season Tickets for it next year, presumably they'll only open it when they need to ?
