Croatia and Sovenia have a league better then the Irish League and crowds are far bigger than the Irish League crowds.

I take your point that they should show the games but until we are able to hold our own in europe on a regular basis then joe public wont be interested. UEFA Cup doesnt get a mention in most places sadly. You only have to look at shels V Depor last year and then Shels V Lille a couple of weeks later. The difference was huge.

Im sure they will show the next Round when Cork get there and the group stages of course!!

    Who are Vaduz???
    John Delaney!! GET OUT!!!

Eh no Slovenia doesn't. The crowds there are pathetic. The league is quite crap too. Their champions were knocked out by the Albanian champions. Or do you happen to be an expert on Slovenian football Higgins?

I'm just pointing out that these countries are not baulking when it comes to filling their responsibilities as national broadcasters no matter what the club or tie.
RTE might have showed the game if it was on Swedish TV - that way they could have just taken the Swedish feed, they were never going to bring their own cameras and crew out there though.

They didn't show us v Split away last year despite being on Croatian TV.

True, but are they going to show the game from the Cross? DO they have to pay anything to UEFA to show games btw?

I don't see them offering radio coverage on any frequency. Something tells me they'd never have bothered anyway.

Like I said, they didn't in Croatia last year, no chance they would have bothered this time.

    No Im no expert!
    Not even on Eircom League

Anyway Croatia and Slovenia are two leagues where shels have been in the past couple of years. We got beaten by Olimpija Ljubljana very well. In fact it should have been more in the home leg as they looked great on the night. Of course we have come on in the last two seasons??

and the crowd that beat Gorica or whatever their name is went on to do not too badly against CSKA Sofia who I thought looked very good last night against Liverpool. Lots of IF's and BUT's there eh?? Anyway their league appear stronger on paper.

Crowds in solvenia I dont have a clue about but there was a big crowd in split when I was there last year

Seems like the first half was packed with incidents. Kearney missed from 6 yards and Benno and Divine both missed a cross that went to a Djurgarden forward but he shot inches wide. According to RTE City were under the cosh for much of the half.

Are all the Cork fans at the game too cheap to text people with news on how the game is going?
We're not arrogant, we're just better.

And how you did I'll never know. They had lost their best players over that summer including Robert Prosenecki. They were a club collapsing and indeed they no longer exist. Their manager said you were the worst team he has ever faced.

Crowds in the SNL are of eL Division 1 standard. Slovenian and Croatian football are in decline. Unless Rijeka can beat Litex here (currently drawing 0-0) all Croat teams will have exited Europe first time of trying.
