I repeat!! There has been little or no rain in Alicante area since December. No local games called off due to weather.

Drogheda beat Dundalk 6-5 on penos after a 0-0 draw in the annual Malone Cup game

Excellent crowd for a friendly, about 1200 with 250 or so away fans. Decent atmosphere and some tasty tackles (would have been at least 2 reds in a league game)

Was very impressed with Connor Malley for ourselves looks an excellent player, glides past players with ease

Galway 0 Cork city 0 played last night in EDP Galway we�re much the better side looked fit and sharp had most of the chances if that�s Corks best side I would be worried unless some players have to come in

Pats with quite a comfortable 2-0 against Sligo in Richmond just there. Jake Mulraney in the first half and Jamie Lennon with a belter in the second. Pats started quite well then looked happy to see it out with the two goals, Sligo played some tidy stuff but had zero going forward.

Waterford beat Shamrock Rovers 2 0 at Rovers training ground with goals from new signings Chris Conn Clarke and Barry Baggley.

Yeah, not sure what to make of that. Pats quite comfortable winners, without being outstanding. Mulraney looks like he has a nice turn of pace. The new Estonian lad in the middle (Kreida ?) looked neat and tidy on the ball and seems to like a tackle. Lewis at centre back did well too, though as Jack says, Sligo didn�t offer much of a threat.

Always best not to read too much into a friendly but still and all better to have positives than not. Mulraney looks to have a lot of quality about him in the couple of appearances so far, he's fast and his delivery looks excellent. Some nice strikes too. Was my first time watching Kreida but it gave me a bit of comfort if that performance is anything to go off, thought he looked a player and more importantly the type of one we've been lacking as well.

Just think we're sorely lacking in depth in certain areas, but the first 13 or so in the squad are looking good. Couple of full backs in (one on either side) could be done with for me as if Breslin in particular is missing for any game it doesn't look good.

Drew one all with shels last night. We were as good as I�ve seen us in a long time and Ronan Manning�s goal was class. Shels started well in the first 20 but after that we were well on top .
