To be fair, it was a second game inside 40 hours or thereabouts for a very small squad. Lot of trialists and youth players getting games today. Would read nothing into the results of pre-season.

Nor would I, which is why I find him and fans conducting a post-mortem on those games and Dave taking it upon himself to defend his players quite bizarre.

Agreed. Harps were awful, but it was probably a useful enough exercise all the same. Decent crowd there for a friendly, and Diallo's goal was some strike.
Have you ever won the treble?

The training camp is in the south of the province. Can't remember the name, but it's inland from Torrevieja. Some golf hotel resort place.
The matches, or at least one of them, will be played in San Pedro del Pinatar, which is in Murcia province.

Playing FC Swift Hesperange, from Luxembourg, on 27th, with Ålborg on 29th.

I think this is the exact same spot Derry are staying in where Dundalk went 2 or 3 times under SK. One of the years Cork City also stayed same week, Brian Gartland has a good few pages about it in his book, entertaining stories !

Meant to be a superb place though with fantastic facilities for training.

Gonna be some battle between UCD and Drogs for 9th and 10th this season. UCD beaten by Bray 1-0 tonight, Drogs were drawing 0-0 with LSL team Glebe Utd late in the game

    It's Glebe North. Finished 0-0.

Collingwood Cup coming next month, so that usually takes the place of our friendlies to a large extent. Playing University of Ulster on 13 Feb

Imagine if Drogs had been playing the whole of Glebe instead of just the North bit

Except in the last 2 seasons less than half the 1st team are UCD students, so that is a problem if you are relying on Collingwood as your pre season, only 5 or 6 of your players are getting minutes. After the most recent batch of departures, there were only 4 recognisable LOI names in the last college game where they got smacked by TUD (albeit missing Keaney and Todd that day) buts that's all they were missing. Thank God for Drogs, this year Harps hopefully.

    Well there is that, true.

There's also the LSC against Rovers next weekend, which may end up being a friendly for our players on both sides. I'm presuming we've a couple of signings coming in soon (a la Lonergan, Nolan, Duffy this time last season)

The signings I've heard about Stu are a centre mid who is from the northwest, name escapes me, a striker from Bohs U19s called Divine Izakur, Adam Wells from Wexford (left back).
