[QUOTE=LFC in Exile]The reason why I put it like that is because there is no other club in Britain and Ireland more successful than Liverpool, not even Man Utd sunshine! So go and look up the old honours lists there, you'll find that ye're short quite a bit yet, still considerably less successful than LiverpoolOriginally Posted by 4tothefloor

You do share the same amount of European Cups as Nottingham Forest though, which is something to be proud of...
To return this thread from off-topic, what do ye think of Pat Scully as an up and coming manager? He seems to know his stuff and his team look very organised. Might be one to consider in the hopefully not so distant future.

I think we'll have to see how Kilkenny fair out during the rest of the season to make a proper judgment on Scully. But their recent run of good results has seen them move clear from the bottom of the table. They are an inexperienced side but having seen them play 3 times this season they have improved immensely. They have become more solid at the back and are a difficult team to break down. After a disastrous start Scully has certainly turned things around for them and he must be given due credit for it. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for him and Kilkenny. But right now it looks very promising.Originally Posted by 4tothefloor

There's always Limerick 37!
I think the cats upturn in form co-incides with them getting a few Cork City players on loan for the season.Scully used his relationship with Damo to his advantage it seems.Everyone's a winner Scully gets more players and Damo's kids get valuable eircom league experience.Originally Posted by Kerry Blue

I think that the example of Mike Kerley could also be used as a cautionary to the one cap wonder that is Pat Scully. Keep your feet on the ground Pat and hopefully your employers won't hang you out to dry!
The ball is round and has many surprises.
