The two guys are very good keepers, but i think Adrian has been the best junior keeper in the country for the last three years or so. He could easily step up to league of Ireland, it just goes to show that the best players don't always get picked. I suppose he does'nt live in Dublin though!!

Point taken with the Ballymun keeper getting the Junior award at the FAI International Awards last night. The AUL is not the be all and end all of junior football in the country.

    Junior Player of the Year

    3 things

    1. Dave Conroy is no longer the Ballymun Keeper, he signed for Dublin City last week.

    2. He has been the best keeper in the country for at least 5 years so this is a well deserved award, he is a superb keeper and could have gone to a higher level many times over the last few years. (And I'm a portmarnock man so no accusations of bias please).

    3. The Junior Award has gone outside Dublin many times in the last few years, check the records. A few jealous heads around here about the Dublin AUL I reckon ....?

imo the only thing better about the aul is the trip aboad for the league winners

awards for man of the match.
    trip abroad for league winners.
in the spotlight to impress irish junior manager most weeks.
The list could go on and on.
as i said its only my opinion, what i wouldn't give for a bag of nivea moisturiser as reward for my efforts on the pitch,we can only dream!

Adrian walsh is a good keeper but lacks the presence of a TOP class keeper.. he is too small and is prone to mistakes..just think back on the munster semi final last year against Clonmel town.. also with regard to Junior international players.. no stone is left unturned by Gerry smith to uncover talent.. for example he has travelled to kerry/cork on the word of someone to have a look.. with regard to junior international player of the year its not all Dub's james walsh from St Michaels tipp was named last year and has been named as captain of both the junior/Amateur Teams ahead of all the dubs involved but junior and intermediate..

Kevin Fitzpatrick for pike this year is surely up there and deserves a mention, Has pulled off some vital saves for pike this season. Made a great save with his left sidelock yesterday had to be seen to be believed.........

Have to agree with you there Dirk, spot on kevin has been in great form this season. Is it true Declan Considine is getting another cap. He'll be the oldest player to ever represent Ireland....at any level, including the over 40's!
