Only one FAI Cup game this weekend Ballyheane v ULAA
Quarter Final draw on 2FM Sunday between 10am and 11am.
If you are right, I dont think that Crystal will be to happy about the short notice. I gave one of the Crystal Committee memebers a call this morning and he has not heard anything about the game. Do you have any idea which game takes priority, Oscar Traynor or Junior Cup??Originally Posted by Terry

There might be some value to be had in backing a couple of the outsiders!!![]()
They were 12/1 when he made those comments...now they're 3/1 joint favourites. Be a silly man to back against them. They're not conceding goals, pure and simple. I fancy them to go all the way now.Originally Posted by CousinSylDolan
ya pike have a good chance but theres a long way to go yet, 3 tough matches left if they are to win it. Clonmel are a good bet at 8/1 and salthill devon at 11/1 how are they doing in the galway league?
heres the table judge for yourselve, athenry did beat salthill 1-4 in Drom , but they are a good cup side.

Looks a good bet now anyone that backed them when they were 12-1. Maybe Connie is set to make a killing if they win it. There would be a lot of time spent in McLysarts with Wacky if they did.
Killester (according to reports) were excellent on sunday against Westport. Was sad to see Westport go out, Personal highlight of the year last year when they won the cup.
Castlebar Celtic will have their work cut out against Neilstown Rangers. Ballyheane could shock UL but to be honest, I cannot see anyone beating Celtic at the minute, they seem to have Westport's luck this year.

Nobody fancy us?
Final in '97, won it in 2000, final in 2003, Leinster Junior Champions and beat Killester by a point to win the AUL League last Season, away wins in Killarney,Cavan, Milford,Dungarvan, beat Freebooters as well .... my money's on Killester but I'm just wondering ...![]()
Good Point Dr, a side to certainly watch out for...![]()
any thoughts on waterford crystals chances.no one mentioning them
last year finalist and they dont concede many and have class forwards
like joey watson and martin tyan.
and i think we all dont mind who wins it once its out dublin
I agree with you that Celtic are strong and they have the bonus of a serious run of form behind them. To be honest though, they're not half the footballing team that Westport are when they get it down and play. Celtic can stand toe to toe in a physical battle and win it with long balls and a speedy front four but I can't for the life of me see them winning it. Unless Pike and Killester are knocked out.Originally Posted by mullerj52
Killester were savage good on Sunday, the movement and passing was something to be noted for it is not often seen in Mayo. Even though it was hard to bear, when you're beaten by a good side playing quality ball you don't mind. i remember in the premiership a couple of years ago Arsenal (whom I detest) giving Portsmouth a hiding at Fratton Park 5 nil or something. Arsenal played such good stuff that the home fans were applauding their goals and touches. That's what it was like.
My bet is definitely Killester, followed by Pike / Portmarnock. Portmarnock are the deadliest side left as they play Killester regularly and as the poster above says, have beaten them in serious games where there's something on the line.
From a Westport standpoint, we'd be happy to hand over the crown to Killester or Pike, we build up a good relationship over the last two years at the games we played.
I won't say what i'll do if Celtic won it!
Good luck to ULAA next weekend lets hope theres 2 limerick sides in the quarter finals
Mama Mia!!
Thanks Widow Nice To See Someone Shouting For Us
