Friendly against S&F tonight, we'll see what form is like after that. We're pretty confident though. My stats were a little wrong, on second count it was 115 from Connacht

The gulf in class is obvious but on the day anything is possible and with so many ex. I think you mean 18/1. I also think they will do very well in the competition, the team they have now is very different from the one that got promoted and the one that started the league. They are a match for any premier side in Limerick as recent results in the FAI and league have shown.Originally Posted by abbeyvale

If you look at the top goal scorers in limerick you will see two ULAA players in the top 4. They will finish very comfortable in the league and will reach the quarter finals of the FAI so why not have them at 18/1.
how can carew appeal thought dennis griffin+paul quinn got 6months ban how could they play sunday?
18/1 is worth a bet
the ban was back dated to the match they got sent off in....Originally Posted by the only 1

I still think ULAA will be strong enough to win that game, its only a guess. I was sure Carew would do the business in castlebar but thats football for ya.Originally Posted by widow
The last 16 of the FAI and now it's starting to get really serious, some cracking ties in this round but as a member of the AUL I was sorry to see Killester been drawn away to last years champions Westport in the next round, think if they had of been able to avoid a tough away draw like that and got a home tie against one of the weaker teams left it would have allowed them more time to get there big players back fit but sure that's cup football. At the moment there missing possibly there 4 best players in hayes, Murphy, keitho and charlo. Add to that they haven't been playing too well this season, and struggled to beat a team a league below them in the last round. Considering they couldn't beat Westport in there own backyard last year i can't see them doing it down there faced with around 3000 fanatical Westport fans without the players I mentioned who are the spine of their team. Porto also face a tough trip but have to admit I know nothing about Dungarvan. Porto are the masters of grinding out results however so if anyone can go away to the country and get a win they can. Porto as I see it are the strongest side left from the capital. The AUL had high hopes that either The Mun, Porto, Killester or Kevins would be able to bring the trophy back this year but with the mun and kevins gone and porto and killester with tough away games it looks like it could be another barren year for the Dubs....hope I'm wrong though
Cant see anything other than a Munster/Connaght win this yearOriginally Posted by dasher

I'd have to agree with you there, i reckon the winner will come from the Carrick/Pike last 16 game. Whoever has the bottle to get through that tie will take some stopping. Carrick are my bet though. Westport should take Killester out especially if they are as below strength as was previously mentioned.Originally Posted by HuRya
everyone seems to be talkin about carrick down in the southeast and fair play their an excellent side but for some reason this year they only seem to be scrapin by in games no? no doubt a win is a win though!whats happenin with clonmel town they have good cup pedigree in MJC final last 2 years defeating carrick in the semi last year. what about the crystal are they not as strong as last year no? and dungarvan seem to be going excellent guns at the moment, sure enough they will have it all to do against portmarnock.![]()
If Town use the full width of the pitch to stretch the Bridge then they should win. The obvious lack of fitness of the Bridge players will be the most tellling factor.![]()

New foreign signing hasn't settled too well, and in my humble opinion Coady and McHugh will get roughed out it by the better defences (they'll prob put a brace each past us in the next round though!!) They do score alot of goals from midfield however. Carrick have two excellent former Town players in Cleary and McSherry that seem to be firing on all cylinders also.

I agree that he is tough as fcuk! Wouldn't fancy meetin him down a dark alley!!, just haven't seen him hold the ball up well in any game i've seen. I may be wrong as i obviously have only been to 4 or 5 Town games this season.Originally Posted by C.T.F.C
As regards the bridge game, everything suggests that ye'll wallop us by 4 or 5. Fitness wise we are definately lacking as you may have seen in the last 20 against Kevins and so i'd say tightning the pitch is something we'll be looking at!!! Great hype about the game already though and that can only be a good thing
I'd have to fancy carrick against pike with home advantage. Is going to be a tough game. Both sides can mix it up
Mama Mia!!
it'll be interesting to see what formation pat mull puts out.. he might pack the midfield with finny or pa mul up top on their ownOriginally Posted by widow
