nenagh celtic are not a bad side in fairness to them, They try an play good football but generally create not a whole lot. be careful though they are dangerous. Saw them against clonmel town and while they created very little they were a tad unlucky on the day going down 2-1

Nenagh Celtic are handy enough. Well organised and all that. Clearly the best side in the North Tipp league. If you have them in Nenagh then you should be worried, if the tie is in Kerry, less so.

    Dynamos win...

Tralee Dynamos defeated Moher Celtic (Clare) 4-2 yesterday, with a far from convincing performance than will have to be improved upon, if they are to progress further in this competition.

Any idea when the draw for the next round is being made?

No I didn't make it to the Peake Villa game as I was split between the Killusty v Clonmel game and the Cahir Park v Nenagh Town game. A comprehensive win for Peake but I remain to be convinced that they are serious contenders for any silverware this year either national, provincial or even in South Tipperary.

I saw the start of Killarney vs Lisselton. Killarney had beaten Bunratty and Lisselton beat Bridge in the last round but Lisselton were very poor from what I saw.

    2-0 when I left.

    Killarney won it 5-0.....

Rathkeale beat Tralee Celtic 9-0..... Less said the better! Killarney Celtic thoroughly deserved their 5-0 win over Lisselton Rovers over the weekend. They simply outclasses Lisselton from start to finish-definetly the surprise result of the weekend here in Kerry. Bear in mind though that that was a Munster Junior Cup game. They have also drawn each other in the FAI which will probably be played next week

    Carew Park

Looking at Carew Park's 4-0 win over Janesboro, they really look like being Limerick's bright hope of winning the FAI Junior Cup and I think at this stage, they are worth a few quid.

Yes, the influence of Finnan seems to be taking effect at Peake Villa.

Their fitness has improved greatly and they definitely have a few match winners in their side. Horan's return to the back four, and O'Connor playing in his more natural position of striker is definitely the way to go for them.

There is no shortage of skill in the side and confidence seems to be on the up again (as is committment). If the draw is kind they could indeed go far. My only worry is that they are not the biggest side around....

    Cool

yeah i agree with some of what is being said about Finnan and peake villa but just because he has beaten an average first division side in galbally 4-1 and many of whose better players were playing hurling with garrtspillane in SHC, i still feel there is no need to be getting carried away. For sure the committment has been better but it could hardly have got nay worse. They are also out of the Munster Junior beaten convincingly by another average team in Cahir Park. They definatley have match winners in horan and O Connor(doubts still hang over whether he can stay sober the night before a game). The height of thier team will definately go against them later in the comp i feel but we will have to wait and see. They also signed breen between the sticks from st micahels, an outstanding keeper 2. All the same its good to see they are trying to get back to the team of old

Yes it is indeed a tad to early to get carried away with Villa's form,

I think you are being a little to hard on young O'Connor. Since he heard of Finnan's interest before prior to taking up the job, he has definitely turned over a new leaf with regard to his socialising. Its a bit of a myth that he was a major boozer....from what I heard 3 pints and he was locked. All the players wanted was for the club itself to show some committment

i take it you are a thurles man then the way you speak of Mr O Connor, i also know ted fairly well, although there were many things wrong ther including the committee the players should take alot of the blame for what went on. How is it tell me the players(2 in particular) who left there fellow teammates down against St Michaels in the FAI by boycotting the game we're welcomed back with open arms after all was resolved. The same two players would not play because it would see them cup tied and they wouldn't have been able to play for MICHAELS in the following rounds had they progressed??????

    Indeed I am from Thurles.

As far as I know, there was only one player who didn't play that game due to the cup-tie problem...and do you not think its better that the Villa still have him? After all its seems better to forgive and forget if its for the better in the long run I know, and you most probably do as well that he had his reasons for not playing that game. Are you a Thurles man yourself?
