Dont think game matters a great deal as celtic or erris will not be contesting for honours in this particular competition.

Well whoever the favourites are, Carrick Utd should be added as having seen how they came through yesterday's game against Southend their name must be on the cup. To say they were lucky is an understatement. They got a very dubious penalty to level the match at 1-1, Southend had a player sent off after a melee - involving (from Carrick) the only player I know who could start a riot in a monastery and who in the first few minutes had head-butted his opposite number in mid-field (after that description - name not needed) and even having the 1 man advantage had a few narrow escapes before the end. To cap it all who scores the final penalty to secure victory only the afore mentioned walking riot. Put your money on them now (to beat Clonmel Town in the final).

    Killarney Celtic vs Listowel Celtic

Killarney Celtic definately won, think the final score was 3-1, also Ballybunion Celtic beat Killorglin 3-1, don't know any others from Kerry yet.

Portmarnock beat Freebooters 4-1 on pens (1-1 90mins), so one of the big teams in Leinster is out.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned Clonmel Town as being a great bet for this years FAI Junior Cup. So far this season they have a 100% record in the South Tipp League having beaten both St. Michaels and Peake Villa away from home. They have a good set up and will be hard to break down. Two Munster Junior finals in a row shows cup pedigree.

Peake Villa will not mount any challenge this year. They were comfortably beaten by Clonmel Celtic last week in a basement battle in the league and Celtic are no great shakes by any means.

I'd say it depends on the amount of entries per district.
Last year there was three or four rounds in Mayo before the open draw.

So thats no good to you and I'll just get my coat...................................

It was great to see Clonmel Town beat Cobh Ramblers in the Munster Senior Cup last year, thought they would beat St. Michaels in the Munster Junior Cup final but it wasn't to be. From the results above Clonmel Town must be even stronger this year!

Clonmel are definately in with a genuine chance. I would be very surprised if the FAI Junior Cup champions 2005-2006 doesn't come from either Limerick (Fairview,Balla,Pike,Carew Park),South Tipp (St. Michaels, Clonmel Town) or Waterford (Waterford Crystal, Carrick United)

As far as I know the only time a team went through a season in the South Tipp league with a 100% record (i.e played 16 won 16) was in 1994 and it was Clonmel Town who achieved it. That year they won the FAI Junior Cup.

This season; they have played 8 and won 8. Just marking your cards! That said their home tie against Nenagh Celtic is no walkover as Nenagh Celtic have been the only team worth taking about in North Tipp for a few years now.
