Have RTE ever been to the Brandywell?

Looks like RTE dumped TG4 (were they not to show games throughout August?) off that game as high profile.

Maybe the FAI/eL made a suggestion to RTE?

    *cough*bitter*cough*

yes, the two most attack minded teams in the country, 66 goals scored between them, and it's going to be a boring nil all draw... get a grip mate..
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

About time they found their way out of Dublin, kunts !!
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

They broadcast the cup semi between Derry and Waterford live last year.

Also, wasn't the first-ever eL fixture broadcast live on TV staged at the Brandywell in 1997? Derry were certainly involved, they beat Shels (?) 1-0 with a stooping header (Hutton?)
A leading authority on League of Ireland football since 2003. You're probably wrong.

    I have inside information.

Edit - Whoops, in my excitement to relay this exciting news I overlooked the fact that RTÉ are also showing Cork City v Shels on Monday 15. This pro-Cork bias is getting ridiculous.

Of course! Its statistically proven that games between Dublin teams have more goals.

    Christ almighty

Obviously the dawning prospect of a 3rd place finish is making people in Drumcondra cranky....

Looking forward to the clash of the table toppers!

it is actually a statistical fact. So that ends that argument - you can check it on the RSSF site (havent a link handy). Dublin introduced football to the country and to this day are the principal purveyors of the game. Country people codefied their stick fighting and games of chance with a meeting in a Thurles brothel in 1888 in response to the 'Dublin' game......this organisation is known today as the GAA

However Dublin extended the right for country folk to play real football in 1971 and now even Cork people like Roy Keane have gone on to represent Ireland in football, only 20 years ago it would have been unthinkable for a non dub to play in the green of ireland.
