Tickets for away fans

In relation to the Derry-Cork game in a fortnight what's the story at the Brandywell re away fans tickets?

Do we have to buy them on the night or can we get them direct from the club beforehand?

Just wondering as a few of us are driving up and may be caught for time on the night.

you can get them at the ground paudie. I've been up there for the last 2 years and no hassle whatsoever getting tickets.

Capacity is around 7,000 (I stand to be corrected) now with the terracing open again. There probably will be about 100 seat kept for Cork fans. Section A of the new new stand is kept for the away fans. If you bring over 100 with you then you will have to stand over at the lone moor side. I doubt that many of you will be making the trip as it is on TV. I reckon it could be the biggest crowd in years at the Brandywell if we keep winning and you slip up against $hel$ on the Monday night.

....at the Brandywell gates. The only problem is switching to Sterling, make sure you have N.Irish sterling cos English or Scottish is frowned upon in restaurants and stuff

But there are no problems in the Brandywell cos the stewards etc. are sound and the fans are dead on

True, felt very welcome up in Derry. Think they clapped our team off as well, great of them. Very impressed with everything about Derry last night, atmosphere, stadium, programme, team, stewards and in general the professional feel about the club was top notch. Derry-Cork should be a cracker with a huge crowd, hopefully they can get the camera over the far side to face the main stand which will un-doubtably be packed, the atmosphere I expect will also be brilliant, good to see RTE do the sensible thing and telivise this match, lets just hope there's no Anti-Climax.

Yeah, I am getting more and more apprehensive about this cork match, should be an absolute cracker. I won't be distraught if we don't win the league this year as our progress has been phenomenal but would still be nice to be up there at the end and this match will go a long way to decide that.

You are right about Bray getting clapped off. Usually something afforded to every visiting team who have played well unless it's H**ps or the $heliban.

p.s Was very impressed by Bray, very well orgainsed in defence and Zayed is the best forward I have seen this year. Glad you enjoyed your trip to the Brandy and hope you return

We'll be leaving late enough as one of us won't be off till 11. Want to have tickets with us just to have one less thing to worry about.

Also thought the capacity was less than it is and the game might be sold out. Had in my head it was less than 3,000 but that's gone up since they opened the terracing again.

In fairness I rang the club and they said to send a cheque for �13 for each ticket and they'd post them to me.

I'd hope to bring more than 100 anyway even with live TV.

The euro game may make finances tight for some people

A good result in the Shels game will encourage more people to travel.

When people can't make the Uefa euro trip i think they more likely to make an away eL trip. Throw in the fact Derry is like a mini euro trip too we shoukd get reasonable numbers.

hopefully there will be a good total attendance in Derry for the game, i have been to every away leauge game this season and some of the attendances have been nothing short of dire.

I wouldn't think so. The bar & restaurant I used to work in still take Bank of Scotland �1 notes. You'll have no hassle & there are plenty of Bureau de Change about the place.

If Cork spent 5 or 6 years hovering in the lower half of the league table would your attendance be more than 2,500 ???? I think not.

We get a higher than average gate in the EL.

Anyway looking forward to the game, probably the biggest of the season for both clubs. I have a feeling this league title could go down to the last game of the season in Turners cross though.

I think everyone acknowledges that Shels out of it now & is 2 team race. I don't think the result next week will decide thinks either way. However now is your best time to get some points off us as lots of games with Europe 'n all that...

I've one of the lads getting the match tickets for my da and bro, so he'll meet them in the Oakgrove suppose about 5.30pm just so they won't have to leave early and line up for tickets, most places up in Derry take euro so I don't know if there's even much need to change to sterling????
