Seeing as it cropped up in another thread. BTW, its a public poll so people can see your choices. Also, it would be interesting if people gave the reason for their choice as well.
I don't see a poll Éanna.
Now I do. My apologies.![]()
Yeah I had a bit of hassle putting 22 clubs onto it. sorted nowOriginally Posted by Poor Student

The Model Club
Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
I just votedShels get my vote anyway for the following reasons, some of which may or may not have a reasonable basis, some of which may be historical, but all of which are factual (IMO
):
Oily Byrne, Poison Dwarf Fenlon, Dermot Keely,The Bakers, their "crowds"
that assistant manager fella, the ballboy with the red face, Owen Heary, Dave Rogers, Ollie Cahill.
Following that: Continuity Home Farm, thought they're hardly worth hating, followed by Bohs and Kilkenny. I hate watching Longford, but I like them as a club
i would have thought there would have been no contest for a rovers fan.....Originally Posted by d f x-

Pats? Have I missed something or is there any reason why a Rovers fan would hate them above Bohs and Shels right now?Originally Posted by d f x-

It's probably down to me living in the Pats 'catchment area' of Clondalkin etc..

Shels for a number of reasons, firstly and most importantly, they way they play .... crap thug football, on a parr with hoof ball, not good to watch and will not raise the profile of the league.
Secondly ... they continually nagging and petty whinging all the fúcking time. Always seem to threaten court action when they sometimes could be clearly in the wrong. This really damages the league in my opinion.
Thridly, The backroom staff, because the are poor winners and even poorer losers, in god name, give it over, why does it always have to be a pantomime.
Fourthly, some of their players are unreal, their 'tactics' are just brutal to watch.
Five, This may not be Shels fault but gonna say it anyway. Even when the sun is shining, they fail to turn out in numbers .... what is going on with these people, any other club in Ireland could capitalise with the success that they have had but Shels, you wouldn't even notice. Lads game of the season, Shels V City in Tolka and Shels won the league, i was in the bar and you'd swear someone died ..... unreal !!![]()
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Don't really hate anyone to be honest, but if you put a gun to my head, it'd be the team that Paul Doolin's currently managing. Sorry Drogheda!![]()

Positions 7-15 are basically neutral (inoffensive teams towards whom I have no specific antipathy.) The hatred cascades in exponentially descending order from 16-22.
A leading authority on League of Ireland football since 2003. You're probably wrong.
Any reason that we feature quite so strongly?

Eanna, few names missing there. I can imago some Sligo fans would like to vote Galway (and vice-versa) but Galway is just not in the poll![]()
As for me: I don't really hate any club but Anderlecht. So in Ireland, everybody's my friendIf I must pick a name I'd say Pats because of the rivality with Shels, but "hate" is a too strong word in this case.
I don't hate Rovers. Let's just say it's an easy antipathy.
As to why, words fail me, but here's a clue. Charming, no?
I've seen you make this mistake a few times Gerrit. The word is rivalry.Originally Posted by Gerrit
