Brendan Sweeney. Only two and a half games but what a difference he's made.
Just realised that there hasn't been a SC player of the month this season.
Any chance of a poll on this for July?
My vote goes to Jamie Nolan (can't argue with 5 goals in 5 games). Maybe Finny should be up there too.![]()

The ball is round and has many surprises.
yeah i'd go jamie nolan as well. his goals have been keeping us in the hunt during the "soon-to-be-over" dry spell

If Jamie Nolan gets player of the Month, I'm never going to Rathbane again. Firstly, because it'll show how low our standards are, and secondly, it'll show that our fans wouldn't know a footballer if one smacked them in the face. Seriously
Brendan Sweeney, followed closely by Paul Finucane. Jamie 'the penalty' Nolan comes about 11th on my list.....
Fo sheer willingness, determination and 110% effort in every game he has played this season it has to be Robbie Kelleher for me.There isn't another player who has given more in the blue shirt this season.
The only prize I would be happy for Nolan to win is............. a one way ticket back to Cork.......hell I'll even pay for it.
LFCIE / J_Haych: How many times have you seen J. Nolan play, it staggers the imagination that you have chosen this individual, ok it appears that its down to the fact he has scored 5 in 5, but 3 of those were pens. His workrate is terrible. If he had the same determination as his strike partner, I feel sure we would be nearer Sligo and we wouldn't have lost tonight. Glimpses of magic in a few games is not enough for me to award this guy player of the month

Football is not all about busting a gut. RK is a very talented footballer but I think he would actually be more use if he calmed down a bit. I know his style is all go but judging on goals it is not too effective. JN can be lazy - no doubt - but he does have skill and I think if he played in a more advanced role could get plenty of goals. RK has been up front since the start of the season - he has scored on emore gal (from play) than JN has.Originally Posted by Westside

For a team that are so tactically inept they have to bust a gut moreso to make up for this. I'm honestly baffled by your post.
At the end of the day RK is a center foward and his job is
to score goals which dos'nt seem to be happening at the moment for him work rate or no workrate his job is to get goals and his not getting them!
Cop on ....best player in the division never mind Limerick.Originally Posted by fc hammer

Tommy Barrett is a goalscorer and the quicker that he is put upfront with Kelliher the quicker limerick get back on tracks. Mark_no9 my words.....
maybe RK & TB were good junior players granted RK's workrate's good but his
in to do a job & his not do'n it.ie getting goals. as for TB his no world beater
the singing of Brendan Sweeney shows there's a houge amount he's got to learn.maybe the potential is there for them to become great EL players but at the moment theres alot better them outhere..
I'll vote for Sweeney, just because of the balance and effort he gives to our team

Granted I have not seen many matches until recently but for me it is RK. Many will argue, and i take their point that as a centre forward he isnt getting enough goals, but if you take the Kilkenny match for example, how many times did he have to come deep for the ball and as well as that a lot of the time the ball was hoofed forward which was returned by Scully and the other centre half (his name escapes me) time and again. I like a centre forward to be direct, ain't afraid of the phyisical battles and gives 100 per cent. There are a few others who could take a leaf out of his book
