But Dublin is a big place of 1.5 million people and with mutliple clubs at any one time.
Limerick has always been a one club (or no club) town, and even now has a population of less than 100,000 people. You could fit more than 15 Limericks into Dublin City.
So to say you're comparing chalk with cheese here would be something of an under-statement.
A lot of Waterford fans not happy at ticket arrangements for Friday night in Limerick. Galway were drawn as the 'home' team and are getting the whole of the main stand there about 1350 tickets and Waterford are getting 350 tickets for the small stand behind goal and the open area on far side of ground which is mainly a grass bank. Not ideal for this time of the year with the wet weather.
It's amazing how many Waterford fans are upset about the ticketing arrangements after they seemed to go out of the way to give Shels as few semi final tickets as possible. For what it's worth though if it's true Waterford only got 320 tickets it seems nonsense to play the game in a ground where the tickets can't be split more evenly.
Met Éireann,
Regional Forecast - Munster
Friday: Friday looks set to be a mostly dry day with sunshine and just a few passing showers. It is expected to turn cloudier in the west later in the day. Maximum temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in light or moderate westerly breezes.
If more than 350 Waterford fans are there on Friday night the forecast looks to be reasonable for them, hopefully staying dry without showers during the game while the threat of further rain is after midnight!
No club ground in Dublin available this weekend and there was a toss of a coin for home or away ends. Huge interest in Galway city and county so we will fill the home end I’d say.

The playoff final is the following Friday so I can't see galway or waterford wanting to play Friday, Tuesday, Friday and ucd will hardly agree to pushing back the final at this stage. I agree it should be two legs but to late this year now
There were no playoffs in 2017. I think Stephen Henderson's Cobh were influential around that time for the reintroduction of the playoffs.
This season's structure was agreed. I don't think anyone is asking for a change to what has been agreed. Not like FIFA who changed the 2010 playoff draw format to keep the higher seeds apart!
First Division 2022 played out 32 games each. First Division 2021 played out 27 games each. If the First Division 2023 plays out over 27 games, it could finish a week early to allow all playoff rounds over two legs.
If the First Division 2023 opt for a 36 game season, possibly 2nd, 3rd & 4th in First Division and 9th in Premier should be the only 4 teams in the playoffs. Two legged semi-finals with 9th PD v 4th FD and 2nd FD v 3rd FD.
Two legged final then as well. If 9th and 2nd make the final, there should be a draw for home advantage in the second leg. All other final pairings should see the higher league placing rewarded with home advantage in the second leg.
