tough group, but the seven best runners up go through so still in with a good chance
Italy topped Group 8 - beating Kosovo, Finland, and Greece
Ukraine topped Group 2 - Beating Azerbaijan, Liechtenstein, and drawing with Bosnia and Herzegovina
Cyprus finished second in Group 11 - beating Gibraltar and losing to Serbia. Russia were originally drawn in that group and were removed due to the invasion

We can come through that group for sure. But it is definitely tough. Looking at some of the other groups, you'd think ours will be one of the best runner-up spots.

Looking at the other groups and hands up, who’s surprised that Wales were the ones who got Montenegro as a top seed? They learn to be proxy *******s even from a young age.

Ike Orazi (no.15) is still only 15 or plays with the U16s I believe. Good to see Derbys McAndrew there as he looked tidy at the Victory Shield and a big ****er for his age too. If he fills out would be similar to Killian Phillips in build.

Yeah he has had a bad spell of injury since before Christmas. Went off injured again a week ago after only getting back for the 18s so great he is there

Shaun Wade, Gabriel Kelly, Anto Dodd the obvious absentees. Quite a few lads from the u16s involved:

Joe Collins
Ike Orazi
Mason Melia
Niall McAndrew
Kaylem Harnett
Matthew Murray

Either a sign of a very strong u16s or a weak u17s (for example last year was just one player, Kone-Doherty)

Considering the Italian manager called Ireland an “Anglo-Saxon” side with all the players playing in England in fact only 4 out of 20 do probably shows you just how much research the Italian management put into this game ?

Romeo Akachukwu scored the first goal with the assist from Mason Melia, and Ize Orazi scored the second. Orazi is the U16s lad who assisted the winner the 1-0 win over in Hungary with some tasty dribbling that's posted further up the page by ifk101

Draw would have been a good result before kick off but disappointing not to pick up the win today.

He was injured against man City 18s 10 days ago had to come off with an ankle injury I think so.likely keeping him for the games that need to be won to get second in the group
