I expect the percent wishing for him to remain on to be highest on here anyway but any word on the FAI having a meeting to discuss this?

wait until Nov is a good option , but Eire needs to value other managers for the national football team, I know the football manager of the Irish national team is a dilemma is like being the president and it is always open to scrutinity, but thats life.

I've completely lost confidence. It has been gradual but now the well is empty. Vera Pauw would do a better job.

I have also really struggled to come to terms with the fact that most people are fine with us not having a hope of qualifying as long as we play "proper football". Games are essentially friendlies under SK with nothing at stake as qualification is miles out of reach and genuinely feels not even really on the agenda.

My view is if that release clause exists, then the FAI should be actively looking to see if there's a replacement available. While there is an uptick in results of late, the two Armenia performances in particular suggest to me that we're not recovering quickly enough. And for all that we try and play nice ball, we're still most dangerous from set pieces into the box, which is a real worry.

We need a crafty, perhaps even cynical, manager who also likes to play ball. I don't see why we can't have both. Media certainly seems to think we can't.

Poll ended yesterday afternoon, a little over 30% think he should go now, and more than 60%* think he should be kept in the job for at least another 12 months
That's along the same lines as the last two polls

*56% want him to stay until the end of the Euro 2024 campaign + 8% think he should stay on afterwards

If I were more timely, I would have voted with him in place for the Euro 2024 campaign, a contract which he already has, copper-fastened to the nth degree.

Maybe there is another delusional 'reality' where people fantasise about how it might be, if only they were listened to.
