Apparently jim hanley talked to him and matthews yesterday and asked them to rethink everything,so nothings official yet
murphs obituary hasn't been written yet, wait for something to happen first.
I'm not a lover of his, but he's has given great service to the club, never be in doubt. But there are lines. He was quite loud on the boat when asked 'how's the going?' unlike the others who kept the heads low.

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
Heard today he's officially gone

well, he didn't get a deadline move so where could he have gone? Is he out of football altogether until close season?

I have heard (rumour) that the club told him they will not pay his wages anymore that once he got his transfer he was gone and yes is out of football because he missed the deadline.Originally Posted by Xlex
TBH i think he will regret his decision in a week or two
Ever get the feelin' you have been cheated?
illegal and I couldn't believe Jim Hanley would allow this to happen no matter where the difference of opinion may lie.Originally Posted by Maz
In all fairness, and it's not that I'm standing up for Matthews, but we all know how disruptive McGovern, Lavine and Avery were... don't use those three wasters to beat Matthews with.

If he was released from his contract and is a free agent then he can sign for anyone even though the window is closed ?Originally Posted by Xlex
obviously but can you see a player and a club mutually terminating a contract which means a)player loses out on cash, fitness sharpness etc. or b) a club pays settlement?Originally Posted by Roo69
