    Weekend 4/8 and 7/8 fixtures

Things are getting bad when there's no thread for 7 different fixtures, so I'll start one.

Actually a really entertaining second half in Limerick tonight, two sides who were going for it at every opportunity. Cracking to watch, albeit a terrible final 10 minutes for Treaty.

    Good game bad result.

Season probably over for Treaty, just pride to play for now. No harm to blood a few more young lads now.

Plenty of fun and games at Finn Park,Galway playing alot of the game with 10 men but still nearly grabbed a win but for a late goal from Harps,we created plenty of chances in the second half and probably could have won...
Our new keeper dosent look great so we'll how that develops over the next few weeks,
obviously Galway are pretty much home and hosed but they werent settling for a point even with 10 men.......
Irish by birth ,Harps by the grace of god.

Pats have the same number of clean sheets this season with Joe Redmond in the team as we did without him, and he's missed nearly double the amount of games that he's played. Jamie Lennon being out now is a killer for us but Redmond finally being back should outweigh it.

Thought Sligo in general play looked after the ball better than us and were always in it but ultimately the majority of the chances/near misses fell our way and the game should have been put to bed much earlier between the woodwork being hit several times, Carty missing an open goal and so forth.

Big one vs Bohs next week, feels like it'll be a massive game.

Disappointing thing is that the 2 goals ye did score were easily avoidable

Comfortable win in the end for Waterford v Kerry. Kerry started well and nearly scored a couple of times. Parsons put Waterford ahead with a good strike. Idowu made it 2 and game over with an even better goal. Terrible mix up in last minute between Kerry centre back and goalkeeper left Coughlan with an open goal to score into.

Very good game at the MF,both sides had a go tbf, both managers will be livid at the manner some of the goals were conceded but great entertainment pity so few there to witness it first hand.Thought Longford deserve credit they never stopped attacking even down to ten and with Treaty unusally very open it made for great viewing, ultimately that probably cost Treaty the points as Longford drove too easily through midfield ,and tacically no adjustment from Treaty bench to solve it.Longford lucky not to have second red as well.

Yes great game to be fair Barrett went back to 433 at 2-1 should of left it at 442 . Longford some excellent attacking players . 2 lads that came on were as good as the two that went off.

Axworthy and Nganou are not inspiring confidence. Kerry started the season with the experience of Guthrie and Spillane in defence but have relied on inexperienced defenders for the majority of the season.

Nganou isnt good, always had a few mistakes in him at msl level, wont deal with the first division well.

A friend who is connected to Midleton FC suggested he wasn't guaranteed to be playing for Midleton this year and they were left a little baffled by him getting a deal at Kerry.

Goalkeepers are hard to find. Plenty of clubs in the League have one foreign goalkeeper in their squad such is the lack of them.

In hindsight, Treaty did well to get a goalkeeper like Shane Hallahan with some First Division and military international experience. He wasn't a world-beater by any means but improved as time went on.

Tell me about it! We have two foreign goalkeepers on the books.

Defenders seem hard to find as well, for Kerry anyway. Martin Coughlan, Matt Keane and Sean McGrath have good experience. Kerry haven't been able to find that right blend of experience in defence. Shane Guthrie was away from the league for 11 years and Kalen Spillane for 8-9 years.

Managed to organise my holidays to miss most of the European games but will have eyes on Rovers Cork tonight for sure. Must win game for Rovers on the back of a horrendous run of form.
If gaffney starts we win if not I have no idea where a goal is coming from. Clarke. FReugua. Byrne all out it seems.
Vital game but we have been so bad nothing would surprise me. This team has turned it around before hopefully we can do it again

Only noticed this morning our game at UCD has been put back because of the Kazakh trip, fair play UCD/FAI.

    So watching Dundalk - Shels.
