    Nah...probly not

Rovers give them 1000 tickets (dont bitch and whine when they throw dozens of Pyro onto our pitch , just like some of our muppets did in Dalyer) make a presentation for Mono and basically try to bury the hatchet and stop the tit for that and they havent the class to follow suit.
Time for their board to go with Long

    Two flat teams atm.
Shels well formed and tight at the back and in mf but offer sfa up front.
Ref McGraith(injured or sick or something) was replaced by P.McLaughlin just before k\o and that was that for us! J. Martin thru on goal, fouled by Molloy - Molloy was last man and McLaughlin gives him a yellow and not a red so he obv seen the foul. No consistency from the refs.
Porr enough game all the same.
    There was a covering defender

They'l need to do something proactive in the next few years you'd imagine.
Not strictly true, nothing really new built apart from new shed, new roof on stand, new seats but agree on the actual look of it, set in 70's and a total kip these days. They prob spent a 1m or more on the pitch and another 1m + on the YDC which is as asset with underground parking, a gym, players dressings room (home) players canteen, mini cinema, canteen etc.

In my view money would have been better spent on spectator facilities, build a new terrace or what Pats have behind town goal and cover sections of the ground, nothing done and on a rainy night by christ it shows its age. Not a lot to ask for to have covering, and could easily be quick fixes while they decide on a longer term plan.

Hopefully statsports will have some plans for it.

Just watched the derby there as I was in wales at a funeral on match day, as derbys go not bad, great finish by Burt the difference, overall loads of effort but minimal brains. The red was fair enough, two solid yellows but hoare and kelly , possibly Twardek should also have gone.
Eyes on Europe, rovers could be a bit short, byrnes nowhere near fit and he’s the best chance of ball retention in midfield.
Bohs are in a state of flux, be interesting if they go on a run to see if they take a punt on detser as manager.

You never know. The goons in the stands won't go away for a while if ever but the people running things are smart enough to cop on. Most of them anyway. It's a shame we couldn't have given the wreath a bit earlier and gotten our full allocation. Next time maybe.

A picture really can speak a thousand words!

Any of irritation on this is with the refs assistant who is perfectly positioned to look across the line and give the ref a dig out with the decision. Ref should see it but maybe his full view was blocked and was a good bit behind play. Thems the breaks and maybe we will get such a decision in our favour when we need it most.

Not exactly sure what ye mean sbgawa (or the opposite). I cant see anyone there who can be legitimately called as covering and hence should have been a red card. Nobody is near enough bar the fouler, and that close to goal none of the defenders would have won the race to cover back in time.

I’d like to see the video of where the ball is going rather then a still but at the time it certainly looked like that defender was getting to the ball next before the attacker. Seem to remember the commentators saying there was a covering defender also. Could certainly be wrong.

Yeah if the ball is moving square it opens up different interpretations on what or who is covering, but if a foul occurred at the point of that still and a card issued, it is hard to see how any of the Shels players were in a position to provide cover. On the night it looked to me as being in on goal, going to be a one on one and a last ditch tackle/professional foul took the attacker down with only the keeper available to claim the ball. In the event of say a heavy touch and the attacker is fouled, no cover, free given and deemed a carding, is it still technically a red that should be shown or do refs have some discretion eg ball starting to get away from the attacker, an angled pass etc. I know it would be commented on in that past that if a player was going away from goal its no red!?

In fairness, you won’t get a much better decision in your favour than 3 free points.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.
