American World Cup winner Heather O'Reilly came out of retirement to join Shelbourne for the chance to play in the Champions League and her winner in Slovenia has put the Dublin side within one game of making the second round.

Well done to Shels. Thought the Slovenians were a bit more mobile about the pitch, perhaps due to the tough conditions, while Shels were technically better. Shels back five of Amanda, Jess (before she went off injured), Shauna, Pearlo and Keeva played really well with Amanda Budden excellent in goal for Shels. Further forward, was really impressed by Emma Starr, who looks some player. I presume they'll find it tough against Valur in the second game on Sunday.
