Just Ireland in football, any foreign lineage is a very long way back.

In GAA I qualify for Dublin by birth, and Tipp and Wicklow through lineage.

Football, Ireland, Ingerland , Scotland. I'm not including the wee six here - mums from Fermanagh - as I'll only include real country's in the list
Where am I now? I'm over here,
I've got those empty pockets and I can't afford a beer.

Ok this will take some beating I believe

1/ Granny on Dad's side born in Valparaiso , Chile qualifying me for CHILE
2/ Her husband (grandad) born in Co. Armagh qualifying me for NORTHERN IRELAND... as does mother (Born in Belfast) and her Ma (ditto)
3/ Grandad on Ma's side born in Cairo Egypt thus qualifying me for EGYPT
4/ Born in Dublin, qualifying me for the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND.

Now on another related issue. Anyone entitled to a UK passport is equally eligible to play for Wales, Scotland and England as I understand it .......

OK Bogball connections... Armagh you already twigged, Dublin ditto
Grandad ( the Egypt born one) played Minor hurling for Antrim( raised in Belfast).... But Antrim hurler's father was from Offaly and his mother from County Cork...

Good heavens CTID - the term "multi-culturalism" could have been invented for/by you.

My mum's dad was originally from Mayo, born and raised.
My dad's mum is from Germany and he was born over here. Now I currently live over here too.
I was born and raised in England.
So just a standard Germany, England and Ireland for me.

Then why include Ingurlund and Scotland? My other options are Spain, although even if I was good enough at anything, Spain doesn't recognise dual nationality except latin American countries and I'm not prepared to ditch my Irish nationality. Love to be called up by Sven, though. It would be a great honour to be the first Ingurland international (sic.) to score a hat-trick...in his OWN net!
This is the cooooooooooooolest footy forum I've ever seen!

    Footy - only Ireland
    GAA - Westmeath and Galway

AFAIK the GAA rule used to be that you can play for whatever county
you were born in, what ever county your living/working in or whatever
county your father was born in. Dont think mothers or grandparents
    come into it.

You wouldn't be eligable for a call up from them, you have not had your name plastered across the papers in some sordid scandal, or got some gambling or coke addiction so that rules you out of ever getting a call up for them.
Its crazy to see people be what society wants them to be but not me.
