Ireland, Seth Efrika (my father's father was born to Irish parents in Capetown) and perfidious Albion (I was hatched in London). It'd be a cold day in hell before I exercised the latter option though.

At 27 i might have missed my call up for the Irish National side...(although I have been doing some interesting step overs on the Astro pitches at DCU so ye never know I could still bring something new to the side maybe untill McGeady holds down a place) That said if I get a call up to the US team I will have to take it ahead of WC 2006 to futher my profile on the World stage...however if we (Ireland) meet the US in the said WC I'm not sure I would give a fulsome performance

Ireland and "northern Ireland" are the two Id qualify for.. could probably do a job for brian kerr i reckon...

counties wise, split right down the middle between Cork and Derry (ma from cork, da from Derry hi)
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

The GAA isn't based on county of birth or that of your decendants.
You can pretty much play for any county.
Think it comes down to owning a house in that county.
Sure Larry Tompkins is a Kildare man and Karl O'Dwyer played for Kildare when his father took them over. There are loads of other examples.

Yeah, i thought that was the case. The birth thing would be a bit discriminatory, given that people can qualify for other nations by residence.

I could play for Ireland, England and Cork initially, though if i bought a house elsewhere...

Football-Ireland or USA, my ma was born in the Windy City.

GAA-Let me see........ I was born in Dublin, I grew up in Wicklow, my da's from Kerry, my ma's from Waterford and I have grandparents from Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary.

I think that'd make it Dublin, Wicklow, Kerry, Waterford, Limerick or Tipperary. What a choice??
