Concession of two bad points in Ferrycarrig tonight as the giving away of two poor goals led to a draw despite Wexford dominating the game. Wexford started with Alex, Eoin, Paul, Joe, Luka, Conor C, Conor B, Dobbsy, Thomas, Adam and Harry. Wexford more or less controlled the first half as Cobh sat back and mostly tried to contain the home side. Although Wexford had a lot of possession in the first twenty minutes, they found chances hard to create with a patient build-up but little at the end of it. On eighteen minutes, a free by Wexford’s Conor Crowley went a yard over the Cobh crossbar and soon afterwards, Conor Barry was set up with a goal-scoring chance but shanked the shot. Wexford’s real chances in the first half came in the final quarter-hour of the half. Firstly, Paul Hunt did really well in the Cobh goal to keep out an effort by Aaron Dobbs and, five minutes later, Thomas Considine hit the inside of the Cobh post but it stayed out. Harry Groome then shot over and, just before the whistle, Dobbsy had a near-post flick over the crossbar. 0-0 at halftime but Wexford well on top.
