You should be aware that our players will respond like lions to this provocation.
And we are being denied landing rights in Derry and have to fly into Knock instead.

I did kinda enjoy the dark arts late in the game in Dalymount - I dont know why people get pished at it so muc as every team is guilty of it or could do it themselves. Its not good for the game but if its good for yer team I would take it!

From next Thursdays match inn Europe there are 11 weeks until the end of the season.
Because of the world cup all the group games are before then so from next Thursday Rovers have 21 games (8 in Europe) 12 League games plus Drogs in the cup. IF we beat drogs then it becomes 22 etc etc.

Dont get me wrong im delighted in one way but next Sundays match against Dundalk is huge, if Dundalk win and cut the gap to 1 point(we would have a game in hand) i would make them favourites. Bradser always goes after every match but i would play weak teams in the group matches we are likely to lose and prioritise the league......if this year has thought us anything its that the Champions path is everything in Europe. I cant see him doing that and i hope we dont fall between the stools. Forget about the cup

I'd have to agree with you. Champions path is absolutely vital. It gives you a very good chance of making group stages, especially when seeded. If SR manage to win the next few leagues (much easier said than done) they've a great chance of banking some massive money and breaking away and dominating the league for years to come, which leads to more money, etc, etc. Although with Derry's money it might not work out like that.
But I thought a similar thing could happen with Dundalk but they didn't capitalise on it.
Rovers could be a different animal though. Best stadium in the league and it's gonna be better when they finish the new stand. Great academy. It looks like they're we'll set up. But who knows, it could all go pear shaped easily. This is the LOI after all.
The league should be the focus and Europe second. Forget about the cup - just play reserves for that.
Playing a second string in Europe would be controversial tho, and could incur some very bad pr. But I remember Liverpool doing it a few years ago against Real Madrid under Rogers.

Forget the cup me ****** lads that is simply the best day out when we get to an FAI Cup final. Rovers Bohs in Lansdowne Rd would be something really special and could get a a 50 k crowd. Ringsend on cup final morning is magical.

Agree 100% Was shocked to see other Rovers fans above say ‘ forget about the (our) cup’ - we had to wait over 30 years for the win in 2019 so it’s more of that we need - also the current team are building a fantastic legacy so would love to see them land a double in addition to their other ongoing achievements

As someone who goes over to Drogheda a lot, Kevin is way OTT on the sideline but this nonsense that players or coaches acting up on the pitch entitled grown men in the crowd to act like savages is the biggest tripe I've ever heard.

Ludden and Curran didn't even travel to the last game against Cork, both played in the draw against GUFC of course though.
Not sure what is worse, my terrible prediction or the fact that we didn't capitalise and were woeful in Waterford

Him and Clancy were terrible for it at Drogheda.

Constantly moaning and in the fourth official's ear.

This season. It’s €20 for the main stand and €15 for the rest of the ground. A lot were critical of it earlier in the year but it’s been a good business decision by the club given the big increase in crowds this year

Yep. The cup final is a special day. Last year was epic. I’m gutted that we’re out already this year.
Out for a spell, got neglected, lay on the bench unselected.

Pats are used to cup disappointment, could still be in shock that they won it in living memory at all!

3rd game of this weekend that a team has failed to score against a side with 10 men for a significant amount of time ,Pats decent favourites for 4th I’d say…

Huge 3 points for Pats that is, battled well after the red card. Rogers was solid in goal on his debut. Joe Redmond with his usual top class performance, he’s one you’d fear will be on the shopping list of UK clubs either this off season or next summer. Either way thankfully Pats extended his contract a month or two after signing him.

Are away fans charged the €20? I paid €15 back in April.

Mannus was excellent, as expected. Completely read Patching's penalty. He should have just picked a spot and blasted it.

Annoying result, but would have taken a draw beforehand, so can't complain too much.

I know we don't have them often, but the water break in the first half really helped us. Rovers were pressuring us a fair bit beforehand, and it broke the game up. It's just the way it goes sometimes, but it was interesting to note.
Decent away crowd at the game too, plenty of atmosphere.
