The fact that a Turkish-Cypriot game was played without any riots is the biggest victory of the evening. AGAIN football brings people together where politics fail.

The Turkish delegation felt very welcome, and Turkish Cypriots travelled cross-border for a game.

Same thing happened when Iran played USA on the World Cup 1998, same thing happened with the Setanta Cup, same thing happens over and over again... Football breaks frontiers that politics seem to never break.
