Manchester United of England are reported to be leading the chase to sign Republic of Ireland Under-18 international, Sean Thornton.
The Tranmere midfielder, who was on target in Ireland's 2-1 victory over Holland recently, is attracting interest from some of the England's biggest clubs through some brilliant performances.
Arsenal (England), Everton (England) and Liverpool (England) have sent representatives to Prenton Park this season to see the 17 year-old Irishman in action.
Rovers have already rejected a £500,000 offer from Sunderland (England) for the midfielder and are readying themselves for further bids in the summer.
Manchester United are now being linked with a move for Thornton, who is tipped to be one of the future stars of the English Premiership.

The Republic of Ireland under 19 midfielder will complete the switch from Tranmere Rovers in the summer.
He will sign on a Bosman free transfer but Tranmere are entitled to some compensation because of his youth.
