The away side will be happier with a share of the spoils, as Kerry largely dominated proceedings, but couldn't achieve a breakthrough.

A prompt filing of the result on the SSE League website by the home side, which is always welcome! A Daniel Okwute hat-trick, along with goals from Robert Vasiu and Cianan Cooney for Kerry, while Emmanuel James registered for the Strokestown Road team.

    Kerry FC 2-1 Drogheda United

Daniel Okwute (who now has 16 goals from 16 league games, and 19 from 19 in all) with a brace for the home side in the first half, while Victor Arong pulled one back in the second 45 for the Louthmen. Kerry now leapfrog their opponents into third, and could even be second, depending on the Athlone-Treaty result.

    Kerry FC 2-2 Cobh Ramblers

The league leaders visited Mounthawk Park last night, and swept into a 2-0 lead, following goals from Justin Eguiabor (29) and Glenn Towler (45), seeming assured of the win when Conor Kerins was dismissed. But Kerry showed battling qualities, rescuing a draw after late goals from Colin Doody (87) and Seán O'Connell (90).

Luke Scanlan opened the scoring for Wexford, and despite the dismissal of Ronan Teehan for the home side, Cian Brosnan rescued a share of the spoils.

Rather unusually, Kerry were awarded a 3-0 win for their last "home" fixture of the season (at the AUL complex, as the away fixture was) against Derry City - presumably a walkover, but the circumstances are unclear.

    Treaty United 0-2 Kerry FC

Goals by Cian Brosnan and Nathan Gleeson mean that third-placed Kerry are now only one point behind their second-placed opponents today, with two rounds remaining. Congratulations to Cobh, who deservedly clinched the Tier 2 Championship, also today.

    Bray Wanderers 3-3 Kerry FC

The away side enjoyed a 2-0 lead at HT at the Carlisle Groybds, thanks to a Nathan Gleeson brace, but the Seagulls stormed back to take a 3-2 lead in the 87th minute, however Eddie Ward levelled in the 95th minute to lift Kerry up to second on GD, and they can seal that position with victory against Drogheda today week.

Treaty's defeat away to Derry means that should Kerry merely draw away to Drogheda in their final game (which doesn't appear to have been played as scheduled this weekend), they would secure the runner-up position in Tier 2 behind runaway champions Cobh.

And they have subsequently been awarded another 3-0 walkover, ensuring they do indeed finish the campaign as the second-placed team in Tier 2, so effectively twelfth overall in that age group.
