There has been rumours of clubs making a return from the MSL for the past number of years and nothing so far.
If one comes you could see a few more follow but is there anything concrete to prove that Buttevant returning is true?
AUL would want Turners Cross for all finals, they'd have had limited numbers. However, a better facility would have been a better choice for final.
Will that be Buttevants Senior team? What division likely?

If memory servers me right the season they left the AUL they didn’t field a team on a few occasions.
They were premier A at that stage after a few very good years.
You would imagine any team returning from Senior would have to go premier A at worst but wouldn’t surprise me if they ended up in the 1st division
I heard Killumney have folded. It's a shame but I think that's going to be the way with a few teams over the next season. Commitment levels have only gotten worse
If Killumney are gone it’s a real shame saw them last season and they were excellent.
But it isn’t their 1st time falling down.
But there is a clear theme emerging most teams that fail have done so before.
Greenmount this season and possibly Killumney.
Blarney St did last season, the likes of the Glen, Bohs, Central Rovers the list goes on.
The key here is structure there is no structure in any of these teams and while they might be very strong teams.
They have no plan b should things become tricky and there could be a million reasons for things becoming tricky.
And you can be sure we will see some of these teams return to the AUL in the near future.
So now the question of divisions will once again rear its head we know for sure 2 teams are gone from division 2 and possibly more up along and Knocknaheeney the only team confirmed to be returning.
The AUL tried to do something with no relegation but with teams folding the benefit of this has been lessened.
County Cup saga continues.
Winner of tonight's Churchvilla v Ard Na Loa will play Bosco's on Sunday morning.
Looks like both Bweeng and Banteer out
yep kilumney are gone too heard it last week
Congrats Shandon on winning Div 2, superb achievement to go unbeaten 2 seasons on the trot
Great achievemen by Shandon. Their players and management have been fantastic. Keep things going, add 3-4 players to the team and they will be one of the top favourites again in 1st Division next season.
They’ll win Div 1 with the squad they have, it’s weaker than Div 2. Only thing that could stop them is Knocka or Buttevant being dropped in there.
There's a very limited amount of teams you would say are strong across the divisions even at their level of division. 11 come to mind and that includes 3 division three sides who have been at top of theirs.
Standards across all of Cork soccer have dropped. Some senior teams leave a lot to be desired as well.
Big club, small club, whoever it may be, similar problems of commitment, interest, participation, pathways, etc., are there in a lot of clubs. Cork soccer was in a far stronger position 15 years ago. Remember the interest in Night Owls, 7 a sides, the cups, this forum, representative teams, transfers, rumours. It may never be of the same level of interest across all levels. I wonder has the introduction of LOI at underage played a part in Senior League drop off? Many give up after U19 now. As a result, "Junior players" are playing senior.
Banteer back in county cup v Bosco's on 6th
Winner semi final on 8th v Churchvilla
Final 10th
A bit tight on schedule.
Certainly an element of that is true about standard and interest.
But no matter the standard a well run club won’t allow what goes on with some teams happen within their club.
Firstly in well run club you won’t tolerate lads who are hot and cold with commitment.
Secondly you will ensure you have an adequate numbers of players to cover you for the majority of situations.
Thirdly you speak to your players and you have a plan for unavailability’s.
And finally and probably most importantly you keep adding to the panel players come and go for various reasons but you must replace them you won’t always be able to replace like with like but numbers are key.
Speaking of well run clubs congrats to grangevale on being announced as champions in premier A.
