That guy should be hit with a proper charge by the guards , assault with a weapon and do jail time.

Apparently most of them are minors so nothing much will happen to them, legally speaking. You'd hope Bray ban them but they probably wouldn't care anyway.

Impressive from the stewards! They stood their ground when many would have withdrawn after an assault, they also showed significant restraint from the provocation. That type of scumbag usually sh!t themselves when there isnt a barrier to protect them with their little jump in then retreat while having a look back to see if their mates are watching. It did look like that one chap at the end was stepping in to try and settle them down. Whats the chances they were coked up to the eyeballs!

There was a canister of some sort of gas found in the away end after the game, other supporters reporting drug use at half time in the bathrooms. Worst behaviour I've ever seen at a LOI game tonight. Home fans being pelted with coins and smokebombs

Reports that their bus company left them sitting in Longford and a couple of them were arrested. If true, good enough for them.

They came out and arrested a few when the trouble started I believe. They wouldn't be needed at 99% of games in the First Division so they wouldn't be a constant presence.

Yeah they came in and lifted a few out, just to show how off their faces some of them were, as they attempted to take one out he tried to take a p*ss.

Funny, you never see Keith Richards doing things like that.

Hard to believe Bray could be a bigger shambles of a club under new owners than under ODriscoll, but.on and off the field they are heading for armageddon. Joke of a club in every sense

Last time there was trouble in Longford was in 05 when Shamrock Rovers visited us. But in fairness to them they werent a patch of the Bray schooligans. Absolute mayhem. I was speaking to one of our stewards who showed incredible restraint and he admitted that they shouldnt have being moved at all. Coins were thrown smoke bombs lobbed towards Section O end and press box. At one stage Bray Wanderers member of staff came to those idiots to calm down and wasnt listened to. Those Bray fans werent searched at all. I think if I was in charge I would issue a ban on Bray fans coming to Longford until Bray Wanderers get it under control. They dont seem to care since the takeover. I know its unfair on genuine Bray fans but what could you do in the circumstances?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Young thugs with no attachment to the club using the games as an outlet for scumbag behaviour!
Happened in Dundalk a few years ago.Banned from every ground. =from even being within 200 yards of a LOI ground iirc? Was very effective so should be carried through with this version of *****s also.

Doxxing myself a bit here. This guy was a "down the road" neighbour of mine. Seen him once at Oriel and thankfully have never seen him back since.
Deffo the Bray sort of thug who was in Longford for nothing bar trouble.

Details of a 40 minute 'full flowing battle' between Dundalk FC and Bohemians supporters more than two years ago have been revealed in a violent disorder case against a local supporter.
Paul Jackson, (23), Mill Road, Dundalk admitted a charge of violent disorder which arose out of a major clash between large groups of rival fans following a game at the Carrick Road stadium on July 12 2013.
Jackson was sentenced to six months by Judge Michael O'Shea at the circuit court last week.
Sgt. John Moroney told the judge how fans had been segregated inside Oriel Park and, at the end of the match, the Bohs fans were held back within the grounds until Dundalk supporters got clear of the area.
But a number of Bohs fans were essentially 'on the loose' in Dundalk after they were refused entry to the ground before the game and were in Clarke railway station after the match.
Gardai followed a number of the Dundalk fans towards the railway bridge on the Carrick Road, but this group, which included Jackson, broke into a run and went inside the car park of Clarke station.
What followed, Gardai said, was a major public order incident, where rival groups of fans initially started jeering at each other and then bottles started getting thrown.
One man, a Bohs fan, whom Gardai found unconscious on the ground, told them to 'f**k off' when he came round and claimed he had fallen, the court was told.
Members of the mounted and dog handling units, along with a significant number of mobile and foot patrol officers were involved in trying to separate the rival fans.
A female officer received a serious injury to her knee when a group of Dundalk fans, led by Jackson and another man, surged towards to the police lines and a man fell on top of her.
The situation was brought under control when Gardai divided the groups and formed a line between them, moving the Dundalk supporters towards the station building while the Bohs fans were escorted out of the railway car park and brought towards Oriel Park where their transport was waiting.
Garda made a number of arrests in the days after the incident, including Jackson, who was known to them, the court heard
Judge O'Shea was told that Jackson has 65 previous convictions, including three relating to Gardai - assault, obstruction, and threatening to kill an officer.
Two other men charged in relation to the same incident were given 18-month suspended sentences.
Barrister Jim Kelly said that while his client is intellectually talented, he had little formal education.
The probation report prepared for the case 'doesn't offer great support to a plea of mitigation in the case'.
The court was told Jackson has a history of cannabis and alcohol abuse.
Judge O'Shea said he couldn't understand why some Dundalk supporters, who were there to support 'a wonderful team' could not have done so peacefully.
He said: 'I find it quite extraordinary that some people who go to support Dundalk, and they have excellent support at a club that has been doing remarkably well and getting huge crowds at home and away games, why they can't just support an excellent and winning team.
'I have no difficulty with people having a drink with friends after the game.
'And while the Bohs fans were, according to the Gardai, no angels here and were not shying away from the confrontation, that doesn't excuse the defendant's violent disorder.
'It's only a football match. It's shocking that some supporters of a wonderful Dundalk team would behave like this'.
He said significant Garda resources were deployed to police what he called an 'ugly and volatile' situation.
Jackson also received a further three year sentence after he pleaded guilty to stabbing his sister and her boyfriend.

Point is these people were not really LoI fans but just local thugs looking for a fast violent fix and just being scumbags. In fairness DUNDALK and BOHS in cooperation with ags acted quickly and banned all I'd'd with legal papers sent to about 20.

Bray,I'd say have the legals on the job already and so should Longford.

Nitrous Oxide probably, which means they've blown a load of brain cells which is a problem for these runts who are already seriously lacking.

TT I dont think there is much doxxing yerself there, Mill Rd/Toberona much of a muchness. I saw that incident at the station after the game. It was as bad as i've seen and a number of cars were damaged. Only thing is that it was well known there was a bunch of Bohs fans at the station so the trouble could have been anticipated. Is this Jackson lad part of a family that would be 'Known to Gardaí' or the surname a coincidence?

FFS, if your could get rid of maybe 3 particular families in Dundalk, civil disorder, drug related crime, random assaults, break and entry et al would be down by 50% and probably more!
